I could see Different Strings being played after the drum solo.

Losing It.....I really like it, but 1-0-0-1 is right, the violin would be hell to reproduce live.

Chemistry.....I could see that one coming out of the vault!

I would love to hear Different Strings live. Chemistry, not so much. The Weapon would sound great live.

Anyone caught it on Spike yet? DAMN totally kicks ass IMHO..especially the battle models they run after comparing weaponry of the combatants!

My fave ep so far was NAZI SS troops up against the VIET FU<KING CONG!!

I like the medieval stuff better than the modern stuff. Seeing them test the flamethrowers and booby traps is fun in a way, but I like to see the power of older style weapons. It's rare to see a show that unleashes the true power of melee weapons.

  3. Took the kids to see it on father's day. Amazing. It never ceases to amaze me how Pixar can make CGI characters who radiate depth and emotion in ways flesh and blood actors can't.

I heard the studio is not pleased with the finished product.

I like Seth Rogen, but I don't think his shtick translated very well in the trailer. I can't imagine it will carry a film like this. Time will tell.

the fact that they are releasing it in the month of January says alot

Truer words are rarely spoken. Spot on. Unless you make films in New Zealand, you're James Cameron, or vying for an Oscar...none of which I can imagine correlates to The Green Hornet...then this is just a dead zone.

The movie's been plagued anyway. Steven Chow was supposed to direct, but ended quitting because he and Rogen couldn't see eye to eye.

I like Seth Rogen movies for the most part, but I dunno if asplosions and purty cars are gonna be enough to reel me in.

  5. Is it wrong that I like to stand for the whole show? I know that we're all fans, so maybe you'll understand that when I'm psyched for a Rush show, I mean I am PSYCHED for the show. After months of anticipation, I have so much energy on show day, I can barely contain it, and there is no way I can plant my ass in a chair for 3 hours while my favorite band is playing live.

I got a Dean Evo XM with credit card points.  new_thumbsupsmileyanim.gif

And a Line 6 Spider 15 for father's day.  Suffice it to say, I'm having a good time learning.  smile.gif

That's great, Cyclops! Have fun, man! Did you get the woodgrain model or the black one?

Wood grain. It is really nice. I dunno how to judge the sound quality, except to say that I love it. Then again, it is my first electric guitar.

The amp (also my first) was a little more difficult, but I really like it. You can futz with the knobs to produce different sounds and some effects. Again, I have no way of knowing its quality but for the price, I can't complain.

One question, I understand in practice what the knobs (I know they have a much more formal sounding name, but knobs will do smile.gif ) do, but is there a balance between the two to get a desired sound? Does each knob control one set of pickups? I've futzed around with them as well, but I don't understand what they're for.

    Thanks!
