One month ago today I started working a second part time job. Today was my last day at second part time job. They close at 10pm and I wouldn't get home until 10:15-10:30 and then I wound have to unwind and not get to sleep until midnight or after. Then I had to be up at 5:45am to go to my full time job. There was a couple other factors that lead me to quit as well.

 

I have a second interview this week with a dept store that closes at 9pm and I used to work at a store years ago that is closed on Sundays and closes at a decent hour during the week. I have handed in an application there and plus I have a couple friends that work there and one has mentioned me to the store manager so I hope he will be calling for an interview.

 

In the meantime, I'm just going to enjoy working 1 job and having some free time!

 

Also, I have worked at my full time job for 11 years and just got a raise!

I worked this morning and then went to lunch with my mom. Came home and took a nap. Going to a friends house later to eat BBQ

Their drummer is amazing with one arm. If anyone ever needs motivation to overcome a disability, here it is. Imagine if he had just given up and thought his life was ruined and sat and moped and blamed everyone and everything for what happened.

 

Instead he found determination and an iron will to achieve what looks impossible.

After spending 2 months looking for a second part time/evening job, I FINALY got an offer. I checked my email on my phone this morning when I got to work and saw an email that said Congratulations on your offer and it was from Lowe's! I interviewed for a cashier position there last week. I'm so excited...I work at a insurance company full time and having this extra job, I will finally get to pay off my credit card debt faster!

Also, I bought Def Leppard Hysteria 3-CD 30th Anniversary Edition from Amazon. It's the album AND 2 CD's of the In the Round, In your face concert :)

I think I listened to Funeral once or twice and liked it a good deal. I've also heard some stuff from Neon Bible and The Suburbs that I enjoy. come to think of it though, I think when I did listen all the way through The Suburbs it kinda bored me to death. I did only listen once, but... the critical acclaim there seemed misguided to me. I'll take American Idiot over that as a concept album about suburbia any day.

 

Never got around to Reflektor I don't think, and the single from Everything Now is a little too Abba, but without the perfect pop songwriting that makes Abba good...

I love Reflektor Disc 1, most of the songs are rock and have a dance vibe. There are only 2 or 3 songs I like on Disc 2. I feel the same way about The Suburbs, there are some good songs on there but there are a few that are rather boring. And yes Green Day American Idiot album is fantastic!
