Hey, Donna Halper (or someone with that screen name) just posted over at

I wonder if she hangs out here?
QUOTE
When I discovered Rush in Cleveland in 1974, John was the drummer and he looked really frail even back then. There were rumours he was on drugs but NO! He was not. He was struggling with diabetes, and would all his life. I hope he rests in peace-- a very good guy with a disease that today is treatable, but back then, not so much.

It's wonderful this year. 25th Anniversary Edition.
Beautiful Dark Red Amber Hue. And no bubbles (if you pour it correctly)

QUOTE (anagramking @ Apr 18 2008, 10:13 PM) I tried a Negra Modelo tonight with my pizza. Not the most exciting beer selection at this place, but the beer wasn't too bad, really. Is that a Mexican beer? I had it once or twice, and I remember it being dark and not that bad!

I love to sample whiskey I haven't had before. Recently, I tried Ezra Brooks Bourbon and it is great for only $10 a bottle. It's 90 proof, nice robust flavor.

then its a bad thing ....Peter Criss played every drum and cymbal he had.
Here a list of drummers with large kits:
Neil Peart
Terry Bozzio
Keith Moon
Simon Phillips
Nicko McBrain
Tim Alexander
That's Herb, the Ginsing Drummer..

I tried a high gravity beer once, "Steel Reserve" I think was the name... 8.4% ABV or something close to that. It tasted like death.... 24oz of pure misery.
It's like Foster's Lager on Steriods.
-
Shots of Ezra Brooks Bourbon Whiskey
And a nice glass of Big Foot Ale 2008 (25th Anniversary Addition). And it's extrie special good this year...!

Maker's Mark. Neat. And lot's of it.

Had my first Samuel Smith Oatmeal Stout last night. Since many of you have raved about it, it was on my list of things to try.. I'm not a big fan of Stouts. I thought it was just OK. It did go down very smoothly (and fast), but I didn't find anything extraordinary about it.
-
Johnie Black Scotch (when found at $22/bottle, thank God for Rite Aid!!)
Maker's Mark Bourbon ($18-20 bottle)
Knob Creek ($20-25 bottle)
Jim Beam Black @ $15/bottle
Regular ol' James Beam when I can find it for less than $20 for a 1.75L
And when I'm really on the cheap.. Canadian Club 1.75L for around $15. That can last me for at least 10 days or so...
I drink them all neat, or on the rocks.
-
some sort of cheap ass Canadian whiskey.. Canadian Club I think it is.. with lemon.
Sierra Nevada Celebration Ale... ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh Now that's more like it!
-
Johnie Red, and maybe a touch of Tanqueray later on...
And maybe a Sierra Nevada Celebration Ale to finish it off.
-
Jim Beam Black
SN Celebration Ale... Yum..
I stopped by BevMo today and they had a sign for SN ESB (Extra Special Bitter) which I have had before but never seen bottled.. Apparently, it's new and they were just out of it. So I'll be checking back on that one..
