I for one am glad they continued evolving after 1981. Even if poor Terry was booted out on his ass!

"Cut to the Chase"
Because, spooning is just the beginning!

A new "miracle album" is impossible, I'm too old to feel that Moving Pictures magic anymore. I have actual important things in life to worry about these days!

This guy could hit those high screeches from Cygnus...

Oh yeah I forgot...
"Panacea... soft and warm..."
BLEARGH!

"How It Is"

Justin Bieber can hit those high notes.

The only way for Rush to redeem itself is to fire that nitwit Peart, re-hire Rutsey, and return to playing in Toronto bars on Friday nights.
Of course that would involve the invention of a time machine...
Maybe we should all whine about the lack of time machines?

Have you seen the video? There's a skeleton with a mohawk. How can someone not like that?

Bitch = female dog... totally a scientific term! Completely in line with "The Professors" usual writings.
F--k on the other hand... I doubt any of them ever say it in real life! Those boys are too polite.
Actually, Geddy said it on the outtakes for That Metal Show.
That's it... I am no longer a Rush fan!
Actually, upon further reflection, Ged is known to use the F-word on occasion...

So yeah, I will forgive them if they make a song based on the F-word!

I never "disliked" it, but it's basically a novelty song, so it grew old fast. So I always skip it whenever it plays.

So I'm listening to Different Stages and during Ged's bass solo on Driven, and I hear a guy in the crowd yell "It's okay, Alex, shake it off!" Was anybody at this concert that knows what happened? I'm rather curious.
I was there in the second row and it was a guy a couple seats over who yelled to Lerxst to shake it off. We were all amazed at what happened and we all agreed that he should just shake it off and continue on with the show which is exactly what he did after somebody from the front row hit him in the face with a bowling ball.
That's why they've banned bowling balls at Rush concerts since that incident.
However they haven't (yet) banned cinder blocks. So keep that in mind next time you go to a Rush concert.

Yeah but he failed when he reached the finals...

Good song, it seems to be about cycling or motorcycling. What's wrong with it?

Crowds were dwindling during the tour, they even start calling it the "Down The Tubes Tour." So I figure they don't have fond memories of that album and touring.

what in the world did Geddy get that caused this atrocity?I remember a rumor in the early 80's that Neil had cancer...the "proof" being his short hair. Ridiculous.
http://i456.photobucket.com/albums/qq287/PanaceaFish/Geddy%20Lee%20Pix/Geddy124.jpg
Rumor is that Alex got him a coonskin hat for Christmas one year, and Geddy loved it so much he wore it for a whole year.

Rumor from back in 1978 Neil Peart is a Cylon, the first skinjob.
That's why he hates the fans so much. They might reveal him.
-
Neil (Peart) reminds me of Neil (Armstrong) who also avoided the spotlight, because he didn't think of himself as a big hero, just an average guy do once did a good job at something.

Has anyone heard any old Rush rumors from way back? Here's two I've heard from the olden days.
Geddy's Change of Voice
"When Rush started, Ged's voice was deeper... darker some would say. Then he was in a horrible motorcycle accident. After that his voice was much higher."
So that rumor is laughable, just listen to the oldest stuff. I guess the idea is he crashed his motorcycle and banged his crotch on the handlebars really hard, leading to his high squeaky voice. Lol.
The Thief Alex Lifeson
"Alex would frequent bars in the Toronto area, looking for good riffs from unknown bands. He stole the best ones. His career is based on plagiarism"
That rumor disturbed me for a long time, but in hindsight, I've never seen any examples of it. Nowadays, if there was some "soundalike" riffs, someone would have posted it on youtube for all to see.
Any other rumors?

Then he developed his drumming talent and all of a sudden people wanted to know him. It probably leads to the question of 'why do you want to be my friend now, when you had nothing to do with me before I showed my drumming talent?'
That^^^.
Also some fans think of him as a god-like character... which is nonsense, why should Neil give them the time of day if they're that deluded?

Why do people complain when a album is 60 mins instead of 40 mins?
