Just saw YES's "The Royal Affair" tour last night with guests Asia, John Lodge of The Moody Blues, and Carl Palmer's ELP Legacy. I wrote more about it here... http://www.therushforum.com/index.php?/topic/108010-the-royal-affair-tour-feat-yes-asia-john-lodge-of-the-moody-blues-and-carl-palmers-elp-legacy/page__hl__+royal++affair++tour

Found a great pic of a Red, White & Blue drum kit which I displayed in my "Happy Birthday U.S.A. from Canada" post http://www.therushforum.com/index.php?/topic/106306-happy-birthday-to-the-usa-from-your-friends-in-canada/

Just popping in after long absence to post something "Rush" that may have not got a lot of play south of the 49th parallel. It's in my new topic post "Rush encounters of the cute kind": http://www.therushforum.com/index.php?/topic/103530-rush-encounters-of-the-cute-kind/page__hl__+rush++encounters

“Hanging stockings lit by flickering torchlight, Joyous faces gathered in the glare…” Merry Christmas to all of RUSH Nation… and to all a good night!!!

Just got the R-40 blu-ray for my birthday and, despite having seen all the sneak preview stuff on-line, as well as all the videos posted from various dates on the tour, there's just nothing like finally having the real mccoy! Awesome!!

Rush sighting... Episode 4, Better Call Saul, 5:47 mark: Rush poster in the background of younger Saul's pad in Chicago!!

The boys are finally touring again!! Too bad Geddy's aging vocal chords means they can't do consecutive nights anymore... no more 3 and 4 night stands in Toronto. I guess we still lucked out, though, because we're the only 2 nighter on the schedule. June can't come fast enough!!!

Just started new topic "My introduction to "prog"! It would be cool to hear about other people's experiences in this regard as well.

Just found the longest list of Rush tribute bands I've ever seen - 313 in all, and of course there's undoubtedly a bunch more not registered there --- http://rushtributes.comxa.com/tribalpha.htm

Happy Birthday Geddy!!! No doubt you're with family having some fine wine, etc. Mazel tov!!!

Ultimate Classic Rock magazine's "Hall of Fame" Finals. It's down to RUSH vs. KANSAS. Vote before June 1, 2014 - 11:59PM Eastern. Go to http://ultimateclassicrock.com/rush-vs-kansas/?trending
-
Update: RUSH won with 50.8% of the vote to KANSAS's 49.2%. Of course, apart from the fact that these polls are just time fillers completely at the mercy of whoever happened to surf by during the polling period, the "elimination" format (much like a tennis tournament) makes such polls all the more meaningless. STILL, it's nice to see our boys get some "cred", especially given the inclusion of the ubiquitous AC/DC.
