Nice color for that guitar. That sticker on the headstock -- kind of an eyesore, no? Was there no other option to cover up the repair work?
I'm honestly not sure what it looks like behind the sticker. I may remove it next time I restring it.

I like it a lot, plays nice. Got it for $950 US (although it had issues like the bridge pickup not working, so I had the middle moved into the bridge position and installed an EMG S clone into the middle. Also the headstock had been repaired a long while ago and was then repaired, which is why the Dean Markley sticker is there).

Got them in and I think they sound pretty good. Lot's of adjustment can be made. I have a GK 250RL on the way too,

FYI I did purchase this set yesterday, will update when it arrives.

Alex got that sound with active single coil pickups and solid state amps. Pretty much the exact opposite of what he used before and after that period.
Sorry, I know that doesn't quite answer your question.
I plan on getting a GK 250ML or 2000CPL sometime down the road.also.

Hi guys new poster 1st time posting.
Similar to another user here, I'm looking to get a sound similar to that of Alex's "Great White" Signature Aurora. For now I'm going the cheapo route, and will be modifying my current guitar, an 8 year old Squire. I've been looking around at pickups similar to those in the Signature, and I;ve read in several places that the pickups themselves are similar in sound to EMG S active pickups. There's a company called TNT Custom Guitars that selles their own brand of pickups called Dragonfire. They have a EMG S clone, and they sell a pre-wired pickguard with them in it, along with a 7 way switch and other tone modifying electronics.

For $130 I figure why not, and I'll be giving them a try. Eventually Ill build another guitar with a solid Alder body and floyd rose, but this will do for now.
Anyone have any experience with this line of pickups?

I'm working on something similar now. Ive got a Signature Aurora going into a GK 2000 cpl, through a donner tri chorus, a boss ce-20 running in dimensional mode, into my interface feeding Amplitube with some EQ, reverb and a touch of flange. Definitely a work in progress.
Heres a sample, excuse the sloppy playing.
