Wow 50 more posts and I get promoted to Professor status. I really enjoy this one though.

When I took my course back in 1984 we had to learn with real mixing and other equipment and using a Trident Series 65 with a Studer A-800 was the norm. Now it's all about audio software with waveforms and plugins. Kinda a switch from the old analog days though. It is easy in some ways but harder in others in my opinion. Would have loved to had the chance to mix with a Neve VR or a SSL. They look pretty cool and have the onboard computer mounted internally. Also the news is what I hear is the less EQ the better.

Well sometimes it can take me a little longer if I am totally distracted. I listen to music a lot and end up listening to the same album repeatedly which sometimes can make me wonder what to decide.

Personally for myself, I prefer Logic Pro because of its professional design similar to the control room of a studio but uses plugins and a great 24 track mixer setup similar to a Trident Series 65 Mixing Console. It was different for me to input numbers instead of rotating knobs and pressing buttons. Welcome to the new technological world of society.

Do you ever get the feeling when you don't know what to listen to at times? I know that I do. It bugs me so much because I have so much music and yet not knowing what to listen to can be very frustrating at times. Tell me your stories.

How do you feel when you see your favorite website go down permanently? I know I freak because some websites are my favorites and losing them really makes me sad but hopes in the means of another one that will make even a stronger exposure to attract my attention again.

Been a big fan since 1994 and still enjoying them. I like the 3 songs I have heard so far: Heaven, Angel and All That's Mine and can't wait to hear the rest of it soon!

New Depeche Mode album entitled Delta Machine. Released at the end of March. Can't wait to hear it!

It sounds similar to the ending of Atomic Playboys by Steve Stevens. She may be a blond or brunette. She may also play guitar. The song had a heavy guitar riff ending to it. That's all I can remember. Sorry. It was a song that was in the last decade. Hope that helps.

Does anybody remember this song? Came out a few years ago maybe longer but within the past decade and she was a blonde female singer with a powerful guitar riff and it was at the end of the song as well. No It wasn't Hilary Duff or Avril Lavigne but she was similar to Avril. If anyone can help me that would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. :-)

I am an Audio Engineer that is also a Producer as well as Musician. These ideas sound very idealistic to me and brings back memories of when I used to work with a Trident Series 65 mixing console. Now in the digital age, everything is now DAW. I use Logic and Garageband to do my work on now.

The Fixx will be releasing a new album entitled "Beautiful Friction" on July 17, 2012. From the sound of the samples, it sounds like a winner even though it's produced by a guy named Nick Jackson. Stephen W. Tayler was back on the ship for the recording of the album.

QUOTE (Arleen2112 @ Jun 10 2012, 09:15 AM) Ru5h F@n?! You're Back!
Good to see ya!
Yeah I've been on a long hiatus myself. I still pop in once in a while to see the old gang so to speak. Been real busy these days now. Not much time like I had before though.

New albums slated for this year and the next:
The Fixx - Beautiful Friction (July 17, 2012)
Kesha - Spandex On The Distant Horizon (2012 sometime)
Lady Gaga - Unknown Album Title (Late 2012, Spring 2013)
Depeche Mode - Unknown Album Title (2013)
Enigma -Unknown Album Title (Late 2012, Early 2013)

The only problem with Itunes is it doesn't normalize the physical file to 100% or 0 dB. It just increases volume or sound check (which was a horrible idea, I might add).
I’m back
