The fact they were in your parents old records hurts a bit lol...

I googled it because I can't get to my album collection right now. I am pretty positive I have Life In The Foodchain and America. Flash And The Pan was another I bought back in the day. The reason I did was because they were a Vanda and Young project which tied them to AC/DC in some way. It was nothing like AC/DC but talk about weird but interesting music. It was to me then anyway...

Believe it or not I have one or two Tonio K albums I bought back in the 70's. I had bands of course that I bought albums that were known commodities but I often bought albums just because I thought it might be good or different. This was one of those occasions. Appreciate the blast from the past. Kudos...

Thanks for posting this. My life has changed alot over the past 3 plus years and I do everything on my phone. I haven't had a clue how to post anything but words on this thing. Also I never cared enough to even attempt to figure it out. Much appreciated...- 1

Lol. He was something else for sure. Not sure why but Brett popped in my head first...Shocked that Narps didn't post something by this guy...

I certainly wouldn't attempt to walk through the city. You wouldn't make it to the Super Bowl for sure...Whoever wins the Superbowl will have to go through Baltimore to do so, imo.
As in driving through the city? Having a layover at the airport? ;)

Agreed. It would be a compelling Super Bowl in my view. I believe the Titans can give the Ravens some problems if they can play the same style as they did against the Pats. We'll see if they can run consistently against the Ravens and take care of the ball...I'm pulling for a Niners- Titans Super Bowl. I believe the Titans are the dark horse in the hunt & if they make it will probably win. But I have to respect what ex Tampa Buc John Lynch has don as GM! Too bad ole John will probably get snubbed again by the HOF... :(

Looks like more wins coming...
Word. I could spend all day watching highlights of his wins. Unreal.
Has any athlete in any sport has the number of fantastic performances that Tiger has had? Especially those singular moments when he hit an unbelievable shot at just the right time? Dude is GOAT of all time...any sport.A reminder of why Tiger Woods has gotten so much attention over the years...
What a performance. If nothing else, fast forward to 14:00 to re-live the legendary day 2, hole #12 effort.

Beauty!
Probably could but I'll pass. All Rush nerds are not created equal...
Nope. Just never interested...Not sure how I've avoided it have never seen one of them. The original was all the rage when I was on high school....
I feel like I'm being punked.
You should at least try the very first one that came out in '77. That was our era :)
If you didn't watch a younglings, then my guess is that you wouldn't enjoy them as an adult.

I remember him as a Redskin back in the day...RIP

I can't help you but a quick story. Back in my teen years(mid 70's lol) I had a cassette tape player and some Zeppelin tapes and some others. I remember taking it everywhere and listening to these tapes constantly. It wasn't till much later listening to the same music from a different source that I realized my tape player was very slow. Took me a while to get used to the music as intended lol...

Lol. Well it was a great 70's album...Well he's 5 years younger than I am so his high school/college years would have been early/ mid 80's. I would bet Moving Pictures would have been his introduction to the band. Maybe he was smart and backtracked their catalog...
Probably a huge fan of Permanent Waves, based on his comment.

Yep it was classic Tiger. Just wearing a guy down by dissecting every hole and putting each shot in the proper place. Low shots, high shots, draws, fades etc. By my count he made 5 or 6 birds and didn't give any holes away. A slow painful death for Ancer...
And rightly so! Ancer wanted Tiger, he got Tiger. Tiger is no doubt the golfing GOAT and arguably the GOAT when comparing all sports. It was the International team that had the big lead, but is anybody surprised the US won eventually? This "competition" is dully one-sided and has been for years. The media coverage tries to gin it up like it's the Ryder Cup, but it ain't. The best thing for the future ratings would probably have been if the Int'ls had won.
This victory does feed into the "Tiger is Risen" narrative, though, since he went 3-0, so the media has that to fawn over.

I watched every second of it and was able to see a few shots between commercials...smhExciting President's Cup, as it goes down to the last five holes, Kuchar with the clinching putt on 17 to give the US a minimum of 15.5 points.

This^^^^. I obviously heard it the day the album was available for purchase. I always liked it but Rio took it to another level...I remember thinking "this would be so much better if it was written about a gallant knight and his adventures."
Seriously though while I loved the song on PeW (a classic to end a decade), I echo Lorraine's comment, the Rush in Rio live version is what sent it into the stratosphere for me.

Amen. As far as Phil goes he can play wherever the hell he wants for whatever reason he wants. This is another media driven steaming pile. I bet they wouldn't give an F if he played in China. They just had the HSBC tournament in China and I of course watched wall to wall. No mention of anything political. Just wonderfulness spewing from the NBC based announcers mouths....Any thoughts on Phil skipping Phoenix to play a money tournament in the Kingdom of Murdering Journalists, aka Saudi Arabia?
Normally, I root for Mickelson, but this just smacks of avarice. He went to ASU, the Phoenix tournament is one of the early season showcase events, and lord knows it's not like he needs the money.
Hometown tournament notwithstanding, I can see why he's skipping out of Phoenix and that abomination that is 16.

Big Tiger/Professional golf fan here but I honestly get where you are coming from. I can't get enough Tiger talk but if I were a hater or anything approaching a hater watching a broadcast especially when he's doing well would turn my stomach. Even as one of his biggest fans sometimes the overblown constant replays etc during the telecast turn me off. Showing every shot he hits at the expense of others to me is well earned and warranted however...Ugh. So bored with Tigertron and the media slurpage of that guy. It's like rooting for the steam hammer over John Henry.
Impressive, though, admittedly. Impressive. I hope he stalls there.
