Pretty sure I say this every year. Can't stand the WMPO. Oh the hype...smh

I really enjoy the circus this tourney is. Once a year the tournament is loud. The interaction the players have with the crowd is great.

Pretty sure it was the 17th(maybe 16 but don't feel like looking it up) at the old Buick Open where all this type of sh*t started. A bunch of drunks acting like a-holes. Just not my thing...

  2. Tiger playing pretty good the first 3 rounds.

Honestly(and of course I watched every shot) he hit it good all week and good enough to win. The putting however wasn't up to snuff. Pretty darn good for not actually playing in a 72 hole official vent since late October. The game is there. I hope he wins sooner but a part of me wants him to get number 83 done at Bay Hill as I will be there all 4 days again this year. There is nothing like being there following him around. Incredible scene...

  3. Excuse me for not feeling completely sad because he’s a rapist. I don’t care if you’re him and Cosby or Trump, Kavanaugh or Weinstein. Skin color and party does not make you magically innocent or above the law. A punk is a punk no matter who they look like or whatever talent they have. Shame on those on social media who criticize Trump (can’t believe I’m typing those words) who are mourning Kobe. You’re no different from his supporters. I wish his family well, though.

And you wonder why I’m indie.

Might be the worst example of TDS I've witnessed and I've witnessed plenty. Well played and congrats. The prize is yours...

  4. At first I thought it was gonna be all Rich Lowry lol. Makes sense the guy is from Hillsdale College though if you think about it. It appears to be a long listen. I'll have to listen to it all over time. Nice to hear the debut get some love...
  5. I'm going to respectfully disagree. Grace Under Pressure is on the Mount RushMore of Albums for me. Pure excellence. The lyrics on Power Windows are strong but I still put GUP before it.

HyF has its moments but is way down on my list of favorites. Still good but Open Secrets, Lock & Key, Mission & Second Nature are not on my heavy rotation of Rush tunes. Winners from that CD for me are: Time Stand Still, Prime Mover, Tai Shan, Turn The Page & High Water.

(1976) 2112, AFTK, Hemispheres, Permanent Waves, Moving Pictures, Signals, Grace Under Pressure, Power Windows (1985) These 8 albums in 9 years were peak Rush for me and I love just about every song. From HYF on to Clockwork Angels, I began singling out favorite tunes & could easily skip through songs on a CD.

I would toss Power Windows and slide ATWAS in there for good measure. The best Rush years by far. It's interesting looking back on those years and Grace Under Pressure was the last Rush album I bought. They were losing me as many bands lost me in the 80's...

  6. No expert here but I would go with the Hellcat. From a practical point of view its much roomier and much cooler in my view. I am a bit bias because I have always said when I see one "when I grow up I'll have one of those" lol. Just my two cents..

  7. To state what is probably obvious to just about everybody, Clemson started out gangbusters, going out to a 17-7 lead, but since then LSU has scored 21 unanswered for a halftime lead of 28-17.

The first half was a tough physical battle between two excellent teams, but that last touchdown by LSU was probably a back breaker for the game. Considering how good LSU's offense is, I don't see Clemson coming back to win it at this point.

Btw, Joe Burrow is friggin awesome. Good fortune to whatever NFL team gets him.

If the Bengals don't pick him (barring a big injury in the second half), there will be riots in Cincinnati

I was thinking last night that the Redskins picking at number 2 seems miles from that number 1 pick. Makes me wish they had lost a few more games. I realize they invested a high pick on Haskins but if they had that 1st pick they would have to take Burrow and just figure it out. As it is they will probably take Young and he'll turn out to be a stiff...smh

I'm thinking they might make a trade, but at this point do they even have a GM?

I am hoping beyond hope that they trade back and possibly get 2 later first round picks and a 2nd(which they currently don't have). I'll take 3 potential starters at other positions over the overhyped edge player who disappeared against top flight competition in their last 3 games...

  9. I'm not sure where the thread is but somewhere around here there is a thread in the past year or so with a pic of Neil. I remember commenting on that thread that he looked ill. Very thin and frail and not in a way that someone just changed their diet and has lost some weight. I honestly hadn't thought about that thread until this past week. My point is that hearing of his passing didn't "shock" me. Deaths like these to be honest only serve to question my own mortality as I will be 60 later this year God willing...

In the thread Geddy: 'There Are Zero Plans To Tour Again' there is a link to a pic on Facebook of the three of them in October 2018:

Put the WHOLE quote out there:

"I would say there's no chance of seeing Rush on tour again as Alex, Geddy, Neil. But would you see one of us or two of us or three of us? That's possible. …"

So what the heck does that last part mean? If you see "three of us," that by definition is Rush, no?

Seems we only had to wait til Friday to find out...

That isn't the pic I was talking about but thanks...

  11. Not sure if anyone mentioned it but I did here Tom Sawyer going to commercial during the Niners/Vikings game today. No accident I'm guessing...

The entire world is mourning the loss of Neil. It breaks my heart, yet the outpouring of love will heal my heart and make it stronger. I want to play my drums at least into my 80's! :)

If I'm like my dad when I'm 82 it will be a piece of cake!

That's a beautiful thing. My dad is 86 and still singing in front of people and really well too. Not easy for someone who been doing it all his life. Drumming seems quite the physical endeavor to be doing at that age. Kudos to your dad...
