I would have loved to see Ceiling Unlimited or even Ghost Rider, but How It Is wasn't that bad
I think its cool they are playing. It just never really liked it.
GR would have been better. CU they played on the VT tour but it didn't really work live.
I think it worked really well that tour. I have a soundboard of it from that tour and it sounds so good. That's your opinion, and I understand, but these guys can always make it work.

So even though I'm just starting topics left and right, this one is a serious one that I have been trying to find out for years. It's the patch on Alex's Signature Aurora as seen in A Show Of Hands, as well as a Presto tour bootleg called Available Light. It is a boy scout Panther Patrol patch. It has since been discontinued, but I have a few extra ones from my 'Great White' replica I did last year. I have a quote from 2012 from a youtuber named spAnkYnation44, who has since passed away, about the patch:
"The patch was given to me by a man who only identified himself as "Bruce." He told me where to put it on the guitar, and the significance and meaning behind it. There is a deep and emotional story behind that symbol. What he told me about it, I can never tell anyone. It must be taken to my grave. That was years ago, and I have not seen him since. I believe he had ties to Black Ops or the CIA"
This is why I want to find out what it is.
This is what I'm talking about. Grey Patch, White border and panther

Is it his signature model you're taking about? Bacuase if not then I have no idea which one that is

The sumo wrestlers were in Philly too
Not really the band but before DEW Geddy said "Alright... where to go now?" and some guy next to me yelled CANADA in respone. Got it on video on my Youtube channel.

My Warmoth custom pickguard came today! Now all I need is the actual guitar and I'll get to put it together.

I doubt he'd be there just to soundcheck it. It was likely Ben Mink in sample-form.
He did that in Austin, there was a video. He also did that in Bristow, and it's rumored he was in St. Paul as well for soundcheck.
There WAS a video...of a fence
When there is a song that rare (at the time) being played and the only thing to look at is a fence, who really cares? It was really cool to hear when I first found it
The video of the fence doesn't tell us if Mink was there or if it was a sample.
Very true. I never thought of that

Well from what I heard it's Neil's tendinitis in his arm that is mostly holding them back. Geddy can still sing really well for his age, and well Alex seems fine.

Best I could find besides Jammit (but that costs $7 for each song pus right now the catalog is small)

Awww I was hoping for a taylor swift cover.
Maybe next time...

I liked it when they played all of Hemispheres backwards.
They only played the Prelude

Nobody's Hero

I think in the T4E tour they played it one night or so then dropped it. Maybe because it was played last tour as well.
For that tour they ended up playing it for the whole first leg, and I think that's true that they wouldn't play it again because of last tour. They play it a lot.

Also, Cygnus X-1 and YYZ were my favorites by far from the show
-
Xanadu and Jacob's Ladder for me. Just wish I had gotten Natural Science as well but can't have it all I suppose... :codger:
Natural Science was okay, but I think I would have rather seen that played during the TFE tour instead. The intensity of that song seemed to be missing when I saw it in Philly.

Yeah Cygnus X-1 was amazing. For me, it really was the 3rd part of CX1 right after the drum solo. With all the special effects, it was insane. I loved One Little Victory and of course The Anarchist was great to hear again

In The Mood is really easy. I also like the Dreamline solo, especially because Alex pretty much imporvises when they play it live, so really if you learn the part from the album version, you could just build on that and improv.

This is a pretty cool thread, and at the Philly show was fun to see them sorta make fun of our "huge bell"

As much as I love the old stuff, it was between three. Rush in Rio, ASOH, and a bootleg from the Counterparts tour called Passive Aggression. I chose Rio, though.

I said Ceiling Unlimited. I really love the drive on it. I mean some others on this album are the same way, but I don't think stuff like Secret Touch, Earthshine and OLV are underrated, because they were played live a lot. But the first time I heard Ceiling Unlimited was a bootleg, and I was blown away at how amazing it sounded.
