Folks....Neil lyrics have been illustrating far broader ideas than the typical Ayn Rand stuff...for decades now....he was critical of W on Snakes and Arrows...he demonstrated his feelings on same sex relationships on Nobodys Hero...he issued warnings on business run amok on Big Money...spoke of acid rain (ie another anti industry over nature stance) on Distant Early Warning....

 

For those who feel completely stunned he doesn't still hold those very narrow scoped views closer to his heart....I gotta wonder where in the hell have you been....?!?!.... Again..agree or not (everyones entitled to believe as they please)....but to be all "OMG...Neil said what?".... I just don't get it...in 2015.... the clues have been there like breadcrumbs for years...I also believe his own personal tradgedies made him rethink his own philosophies.....like it would for most people...I would think.

 

Dude, the guy called someone a racist without any basis or reasoning. This doesn't have to do with him changing his viewpoints. I don't care if he has "changed his viewpoints" - in fact being married to a liberal wannabe elitist and living on the left coast for all these years I EXPECT he would be brainwashed by now and change his views to the borderline socialist viewpoints so dominant on the west coast. The problem is that he called someone a racist without anything to back it up. It was a dumb-f**k move on his part and shows a lack of character big time.

Maybe Peart is angry at his intellectual property being repeatedly stolen and is counterattacking. And he no longer likes the GOP, which ain't that tough to imagine.

 

Then maybe he should say that he is mad about music being used instead of blindly calling someone a racist without anything to back it up.

My point is in the use of the word phoney.....which both Rands have been shown to be on varying levels...Ayn Rand...and Rand Paul.....

 

As to his work with minortities...its a pretty recent development and his own shouting down of female journalists is pretty well known.....I can see someone question his motivations in both cases.....

 

Again...Neil gave an opinion which is his right to do so.....it doesn't have to align with what you think or even be technically correct...

Didn't Mr. Paul start a clinic for poor and needy families in 1995?

 

Hey if he did....good on him....I'm referring more to the incarceration stuff he's been going to the media with since...well...campaign season.....

If you are going to slander someone and call them a racist you'd better be able to back it up. Phony? Not sure that word describes Neil on this one. Douche bag? Yep.

If you want to get rid of this notification on your task bar and move on, look for the recent update numbered KB3035583 and uninstall it. Then hide it so it doesn't keep coming up in your updates...

I have another question.

 

Since my DVD player is on the blink, and I have a bit of space left on the USB stick, does anyone here know how I can transfer my DVDs of Exit...Stage Left and Moving Pictures Tour to the stick so I can watch them?

 

That's a little more difficult and involves first ripping the DVD using something like DVD Shrink then copying those files to the stick... I don't even know where to get DVD Shrink nowadays, maybe someone else knows of a better software now for that... Keep in mind a DVD will generally be at least 4 gigs, so not many will probably fit on your thumb drive...

Before I start this, what's the worse that can happen if I do something wrong? Normally I wouldn't care, but I can't replace the contents. I could, I guess, but it would take a very long time.

 

You should be fine - just don't select "cut", but instead select copy... Although even if you "cut" and "pasted" instead of "copy and paste" it would basically just move everything from one to the other...

Mike, they are in folders - one has all the albums, studio and live - the other folder has bootlegs.

 

If I right click and choose copy, will it copy all that is in the folder? Or do I have to go into the folder and do each album/bootleg?

Yep! It will copy that folder and all contents inside that folder (including all subfolders, etc)...

I just noticed that the stick I bought says it is compatible with Windows 7, 8 and Vista. We have XP. Is that a problem?

 

It should be compatible with anything... XP shouldn't be a problem (unless we are talking multiple terabytes)

 

1. Insert both sticks into USB ports.

2. Open Windows Explorer (the little file folder on your desktop - if none, look for "My Computer")

3. Find which is the Rush drive (e: or f: or g: or whatever)

4. click on that drive letter and in the right pane:

5. select one folder or file in blue and the hold down CTRL and press A so all are selected in blue

6. RIGHT click on any blue highlighted (doesn't matter which) and choose "Copy" - NOT CUT

7. Find your new drive you bought at Kroger (again, will be e: or f: or whatever and should have no files or folders in it yet)

8. RIGHT click in the right pane blank space and choose "Paste"

 

Should all copy from one to the other and now you have 2 copies...

Yeah I have the same problem on here with IE... IE works fine on all other sites, something goofy in the programming of this Invision version or something and I am not sure why they haven't fixed it/issued a patch... I started using Firefox for this site a while ago due to those problems. The negative to Firefox is that it crashes constantly when there is Flash content.

Ahh yes, Minecraft. I have still never played, but all my kids are addicted to that one... My oldest has it on computer and ipad, my middle has it on computer, ipad, and xbox, and my yougest has it on her ipad and computer... I give them wi-fi in the car on long trips and they play for hours without me hearing a peep (other than the occasional "Quit wrecking my castle!!!" or whatever

Thanks for checking guys, I really appreciate it. I was able to extract the file using 7-zip from the Microsoft installation disk...

Anyone running old Vista 32 bit OS out there who may be able to copy their standard explorer.exe file and send it to me somehow? I have a corrupt explorer.exe file on an old system here at work and can't find a copy of it anywhere... Have tried sfc /checknow and it errors out, have tried everything and just need this file... It's only about 2.8 megs so email would even work... It resides in c:/Windows and is just the explorer.exe file...

My son has been looking forward to this coming out and told me that Steam released it last night so he wants to get it today...
