Never really had long hair, was in the Air Cadets from 13-20 ywar old so always had it short. After this I did grow it for a while but with my hair been fairly curly it just bunched up when hitting colour length. When wet it would be down to shoulder blade length. Probably grew it for about 12-18 months then cut it all off and have had same cut ever since - grade 2 back and sides, cut short on top.

We watch a lot of midsomer murders, and when my girlfriend has gone to bed i have been watching two and a half men. We don't watch any up to date shows, usually end up watching them when they have been on a few years. I think the most modern show we watch is Chucky.

I had quite a large laugh at myself this morning (for information, I am not a reader of lyrics - I hear what i hear). I was walking to get my daily steps in and had Roadshow playing on Audible. It was during Chapter 3 when Neil was talking religion and the lyrics of Freewill were quoted:
"You can choose a ready guide in some celestial voice
If you choose not to decide, you still have made a choice
You can choose from phantom fears and kindness that can kill
I will choose a path that's clear, I will choose Freewill"I had always heard the last line as :
"I will choose a bathysphere, I will choose Freewill"

Just finished #3 This Fallen Prey in my Rockton re-read. Started #4 Watcher in the Woods. Even though I have read them, they are still suspenseful and there a little bits I forgot. Alternating between audio and e-book, I like night-time reading in bed with the glowlight and I don't keep my hubby awake. I agree it isn't fun to have the reader topple onto your face but it is better than a hardback
Agreed, although I have done it with a thick (about 2.5inch) hardback.

Currently listening to "Harvest of Stars" by Poul Anderson. This will take me a while as I only listen when Io go to bed and have to re-listen to a lot of it night after night.
I have a lot of books on Kindle, but don't like dropping my tablet/phone on my face while reading in bed.

Positive test for covid (me and girlfriend)
Sorry to hear that. Best wishes for a full recovery for both of you
Thanks. Only had a slight sore throat and the sniffles for a couple of days.
All better now.
Any loss of sense of smell or taste? Mrs. and I had it in October and both of us lost out sense of smell and she her sense of taste. Her smell is still coming and going, mine returned about 3-4 weeks after I got it. I knew it was back when i was in proximity of a guy with way too much cologne on and it hit me. First time I've ever actually enjoyed that situation (probably last too LOL). We were both vaxxed so other symptoms were very mild to non-existent.
No loss of smell or taste this time (only for 3 days or so when I caught it in Macrh), must have been omicron variant as it was just like a cold.
Also both double jabbed, had boosters booked in for Friday 7th Jan. Same thing happened when we first caught it, had jabs booked and a week before had an outbreak at work. Someone at work took around 6-7 months to get taste and smell back.
