figures. tonight I have a free night to watch pericscope and no feeds... ahhhhh!

Just got home from the show. They sounded awesome. ged's voice was great. Very emotional at the end thinking that might be the last time seeing them live but if it was Wow what a way to go out and I had 3 of my kids there with me to enjoy it. I do wish we could make time stand still at times like that.

So serving them Thursday. After TS it could be red Barch or maybe limelight or maybe tce... Who knows. I know the setlist and yet still some intrigue. For my kids sake I hope it's limelight.

Sometimes I think you are all crazy, It is setlist B if only for the reason that it has a never played before song on it.

 

I am not fanatical as most in here about whether a don't has been played live before. I base it on my like/love for the song and how it sounds in concert. So IMO if they were not going to play red b I wanted limelight. It's just a style preference nobody is crazy... Well at least as far as we know.

no limelight is really a surprise. but i'm ok with that. I've had enough of Limelight for a lifetime.

or freewill or trees.. but have heard them plenty. but would have snuck one in instead of extra CA songs :)

So I loved it. My only complaint is on my kids behalf. First time seeing rush and no limelight, free will, YYZ, or her fav time stands still.

 

Still great but always could be better. Lose clockwork angels and anarchist and end first set with limelight and YYZ and it would be much more favorable In my opinion...

i am in st louis in a week and would be their 4th night... so I will have no idea which set list i would get heck they could do a A,B,C, and D. That would cure the issue of having too many songs and not enough time to play them all but it sucks if you alternate and miss on of your favs

Again not sure what to say. This first set is a total waste of time and money........I have been a Rush fan since 1980, this first set is worst then their last tour.

They had Roll the Bones, possibly their worst song...........

so since you hate the songs it sucks.... weird.

You think just maybe that the majority of people go to a concert to see their favorite band play their best songs. Obviously with a catalogue size that rush has it is truly impossible to please everyone. Animate does nothing for me but others are jumping for joy. So what if it's the 5th time you have seen them play roll the bones. Just think how blessed you are to have seen the best rock band ever in concert more than once. I love the hits and want to see them one more time. I also want Xanadu, the trees, prime mover, fly by night, and so on but obviously my list differs from the next guy and his differs from another. I will never be disappointed by a set list as long as it's GED, Alex, and Neil up on stage I am happy. I just have a feeling that we have some great surprises coming our way but even if I am wrong I will be in heaven on the evening of May 14th when the boys come to St. Louis. I know it is easy to,whine and complain in these forums but either enjoy the show or don't go.

So who is going to opening night and sending out song by song? My show in St. Louis is only a month a way. Starting to get real.

Weird I had the same exact thought of the concert opening with overture and closing with an r40 medley/grand finale
