They look really nice but I wonder how they play. If they even sound good?

I'd like to see an external review on these things. I have a feeling they sound okay but might have problems other more traditional guitars do not. I'd pull one of out for a halloween gig and then put it on display the rest of the year. biggrin.gif

Expensive Halloween costume!!! You'd have to use every year!!!

    I'll buy the Japanese versions.

  3. The Spirit of Radio is Rush's greatest song. It's Neil's perfect indictment of the music biz and the bullshit idea of "artist with integrity" which so many acts fostered for commercial gain. It might even be a subtle jab at Rush themselves. I think I'd even place it in Rock 'n' roll's all time top ten. But I chose Entre Nous because it just makes my spirit soar. With its regal but diffident musical vibe and its grand, imagery laden statements about human love and interaction this song could have easily been pretentious sludge instead of what it is, something so beautiful and true.
  4. But at least he's in a good milieu for it. After all, classical music performance might be described as blue blooded wankery. You have paycheck symphonies playing with robotic precision to the fancy baton work of egotist conductors riding on the coattails of the great composers. (I know this is an unfair assessment so don't send any letters tongue.gif ). I'd like to see Yngwie conduct Beethoven. There'd be like ten sweeps for every minute of music.

I, for one, thought the above performances were refreshingly positive and machismo free and would like to see more wanker guitar readings of the classical masterworks.

  5. From Wikipedia:

In 2005, a video of a young Taiwanese guitarist calling himself JerryC - who arranged and performed an energetic rock version of Pachelbel's Canon on electric guitar - was widely viewed and discussed on the Internet, after appearing on websites such as YouTube and Google Video. And another performance of Jerry C's arrangement, this one by another young guitarist calling himself "funtwo", is YouTube's single most-discussed video of all time.

Now that the table is set get a load of funtwo's version... ohmy.gif
