We know that Hagrid can do magic though. He was at Hogwarts until Tom Riddle got him thrown out because of Aragog. The Umbrella he uses is his wand put back together the best it can be by DD. Hagrid is Magical, not a Squib or Muggle. Even though he isnt supposed to learn magic DD has obviously been teaching him, look at the magic he has used around Harry.

 

This is once in a lifetime magic, someone who doesnt do magic at all but on this very rare occasion does manage to do it.

Nope not Petunia, she has said NO on her site. Maybe Arabella Figg or Filch but everyone thought that it was going to be Petunia. I dont think it is one of the Dursleys (now that she said No to to Petunia) but it would be hilarious if it was Dudley.

 

Speaking of the Dursleys, since Ron and Hermione plan on going with Harry then I cant wait to see them at the Dursleys! Can you imagine if Dudley is smitten with Hermione! There is also the issue with the creaky stair there too. Why is it that they have a creaky stair when Petunia has to have everything perfect? Wouldnt it be something if thats where Petunia has hidden DD's letters and perhaps some things of Lily's!? What is Petunia hiding anyway? She knows much much more than what she is saying.

 

 

LV was trying to kill Harry, not make him a Horcrux.

 

The one with the power to vanquish the Dark Lord approaches.... Born to those who have thriced defied him, born as the seventh month dies....

 

This was all that Snape heard, he didnt hear the last parts. LV knew from this prophecy that someone is having a child as the month of July was ending and that child would have the power to Vanquish him.

 

We know that both Harry and Neville were born at the end of July. The reason Harry was chosen is because one of his Parents was Muggle born, the same as himself. He thought Harry was more of a danger than Neville because of this fact. The major problem with killing Harry was that yet again he didnt think things through and he never heard the whole prophecy. By trying to kill Harry he set in motion his own demise.

 

Now the problem with this is we dont know how a Horcrux is created nor do we know how the old magic that saved Harry was created or works. Thats the problem with the whole Harry is a Horcrux theory. I dont see how LV would be able to accidently create a Horcrux.

USA Today Article/Poll

 

This was a poll/ question according from USA Today in which the 2 leading people at Leaky Cauldron and Mugglenet were asked the odds on a couple of the main characters, survival rate really.

Fans are speculating that Nangini is a Horcrux, which means just what you said, Nangini is always with LV.

 

I dont however see a fake horcrux in there. There is no way that LV thinks that anyone would find out about that cave. Besides he underestimates people. Just like in GOF where he made the Goblet into a portkey, he never expected harry to make it out of that graveyard but he did.

 

In CoS there does seem to be a bit of foreshadowing when Ron sacrifices himself. I would not be surprised at all after yesterdays comment to hear of R&H dying.

 

Any ideas on such the big importance of Lily? JKR has said we will learn something extremely important about her.

 

JKR has also said that someone will do magic that normally they can not. A kinda once in their lifetime deal. Any ideas?

Heres the Prophecy;

And the Dark Lord will mark him as his equal, but he will have the powere the Dark Lord knows not.....And either must die at the hand of the other for neither can live while the other survives.

 

Remember, Snape only heard the first part of the prophecy, thats why they were in the MOM.

 

Now heres where it gets sticky: Can Harry go through with killing Voldemort or will he weaken him with the destruction of the Horcruxes and make him mortal? As DD said, there are fates worse than death.

 

As for the Horcruxes, heres my list and whats already been destroyed.

Tom Riddles Diary-Harry destroyed that in COS

Marvolo Gaunts Ring-DD destroyed that.

 

Salazar Slytherins Locket- RAB could have already destroyed it. It could be the Locket that was found as they were cleaning out 12 Grimmauld Place. Kreacher kept stealing items and Mundugus Fletcher was trying to sell items stolen from there.

 

Hufflepuffs Cup-We know Tom killed Hepzibiah Smith and stole the cup and she had the Slytherin Locket. She could also be related to current Hogwarts student Zacharias Smith who is a Hufflepuff.

 

Ravenclaw Tiara- Mrs. Weasely told Fleur that her aunt had a beautiful tiara that she could probably get for her wedding. also in the RoR at Hogwarts Harry placed a tiara on top of his copy of his Potions book when he was hiding it from Snape.

 

Now that leaves something of Gryffindors but we know DD has said that the sorting Hat and Sword had both been checked. It seems unlikely that DD would overlook the Gryffindor knocker. So that leaves us with a couple of more odder Horcruxes. Harry, Nangini, the Basilisk, Wormtails silver hand or momentos from his time in the Orphanage. The last seems much more plausible.

I also had the idea that something from Godrics Hollow was made into a Horcrux and that Petunia may have it.

 

It is possible that Harry doent have to destroy them in order to destroy LV. How I dont know but JKR would find a way!

 

If Harry does need to find them he needs to tell more people than Ron and Hermione. He needs help!

 

Other thoughts on the 2 deaths, Luna, Hagrid, Lupin, Percy, Tonks, Fleur, Bill, Charlie, Draco.

NOT HARRY!

Be prepared peeps because it looks like our beloved Harry will meet his fate. It was suggested to her that she would have good reason to kill Harry off in Book 7 so that no one could write sequels to the book when she's finished.

 

When asked to be more specific, she added: "No, I'm not going to commit myself, because I don't want the hate mail or anything else."

 

She did explain that she understood an author's desire to kill off the main character of a successful series.

 

"I've never been tempted to kill him (Harry) off before the end of book seven, because I always planned seven books and that's where I want to go.

 

"I can completely understand, however, the mentality of an author who thinks 'Well, I'm going to kill them off because that means there can be no non-author-written sequels ... so it will end with me, and after I'm dead and gone they won't be able to bring back the character'."

 

 

My guesses on the two deaths, Ron and Hermione. Reprieve, Snape.

 

I can only pray that JKR isnt going to kill Harry off but will in the epilogue say that he had a great life and died at 150.

I had a thread in the regular forum that included spoilers but it dropped way down. Maybe somebody can bring it back and put it in here. I would love to chat spoilers, theories, characters and so on with my fellow Rush fans. Besides I find it hard to be on a forum that has 50k members, threads come and go so quickly at the Leaky Lounge and over at Mugglenet.

I got it ok but still it was boring.

 

Weird movies are what I like, Dark Comedies, strange Indie Flicks, odd Sci-Fi I love them. The odder and more stranger a movie the more I love them. I am a huge Sci Fi movie geek, this was just one of those movies that felt forced, over done and boring. It tried to hard.

I went to the movies to see this, I won free tix, and I was less than impressed. I didnt like it at all and thought the storyline was amateurish. I almsot fell asleep during the movie.

Ok so JKR just wrapped up an interview on the judy and Richard show. The transcript isnt out yet but here is one major highlight on Book 7!

 

2 people are going to die that she had orginally intended to live and one will live that she was going to have die (Reprieve is her word)!

 

 

She also made 2 comments on the will Harry live or die.

She noted the suggestion that she would kill Harry off for the simple reason that no one could write sequels to the book when she's finished.

And that she could write a book on Harrys mid-life crisis, joking of course. Of course I cannot vouch for this as the video is not online yet.

JKR has also said that she is writing a childrens book, a book for much younger kids and she is not yet done with that either.

I cannot decide between HBP and OOTP.

 

I love how angry Harry is in OOTP. Hes mad, wants answers, wants to be with Sirius and so on. Love the whole book.

 

HBP brings tons together. We find out what made Tom Riddle, who he was and he came to came to be. I also like that relationships finally started to come together. I was shocked by the death but after I thought about it then it made sense, and yes he is dead.

 

 

As for Book 7, I dont want Ron to die and I dont think he will. With Ron and the Weasleys Harry has the closest thing he can have to a family. I dont think Harry will die, God I hope not! I do believe Snape and Luna will die. Luna and Neville are so great together and JKR has said that they will not be.

Snape is an enigma! Is he good, is he bad? Either way he has gone too far on both sides and I dont think he will make it out of there.

 

I have tons more theories, man am I in deep with the Series! So further questions (and some things I have theories about);

How did Tom Riddle find out about Horcruxes?

What is so important about Lily's eyes, where did her and James work?

How did DD defeat Grindelwald?

What is Snapes patronus? Is he an unregistered animagus?

Is there a connection between Irma Pince and Eileen Prince?

Who is RAB and did he have an accomplice?

Where are the remaining Horcruxes?

 

 

And those are only a small part of the questions! The list is a mile long!

I read this this afternoon at the main HP new site The Leaky Cauldron. WOOHOO the Big Battle!

 

Oddly enough there is going to be some sort of chase scene near the big clock in London (sorry name escapes me!) so that will be completely different than the book.

I am going to get alot of slack, more in likely. But I just read a very famous well loved book and I thought it was boring, long winded and just plain difficult to endure. I pressed on but by the time I got to around page 800 I just began to skim to get to the good parts if there were any.

 

Lord Of The Rings!

 

I just couldnt do it! I lost interest early on, it was very slow moving, not alot of action, but most of all it was BORING.

I have been trying to read classics that I have never read. Wuthering Heights which I am currently reading and I just got done with LOTR.

Wuthering Heights, so far it's kinda boring. I have never seen the movie and I suppose it's probably a good thing. at some points its been very good and at others very boring. I am having a really hard time getting through it, always a bad sign.

Just got done with Rose Madder and I wasnt impressed. I absolutley love The Bachman Books though. I will be reading Hearts In Atlantis as soon as I am done with Wuthering Heights.

 

Rose Madder just felt rushed as some points and to slow at others.

 

I want to read Dark Towers someday I just need to get through all the others first!
