  1. Theres a great Winery here in Missouri that produces some great Wine. St.James Winery they have an online store. The Velvet Red is really good but it is a sweet wine.

Edited to include a link to Stone Hill, Mike and I have had the Vignoles, the link will take you to the White Wine listing with lots of info on the wines they make. Stone Hill Lots of great information about taste and what food the wine goes with.

  2. Drinking a glass of local wine, St.James Winery- Velvet Red. Very Nice too! OK so I will probably end up having more than one glass as it is quite tasty!

Surprisingly our area here in Missouri is known for its many varieties of wines. There are MANY wineries here and well worth checking them out if you ever pass through.

  3. Back when RushFreak and I were first dating he had the party house. Him and a couple of friends all had an apartment together ( there were illegal aliens living upstairs and they couldnt call the cops on them) so there were parties every night. We were all in our late teens and just a couple were old enough to buy alcohol so the parties were numerous. So heres a couple of stories.

We used to take those big rubber bouncy balls, turn off all the lights in the kitchen and house and throw them down on the floor hard so that someone would get whapped real hard with it. All of us as drunk as could be with the lights all off and all you could hear would be someone yelling out.

A friend of ours got real drunk and passed out on the table. So we decided to take all the plastic cups full of half drank beers ( we had lots of keggers) and wrap him up with tape. Now these cups and tape were spread out all over the table. We also loaded him up with shaving cream. Funny as hell when he finally woke up raised his head a lil and everything came spilling down. The more he moved the more beer that fell on him. Let alone he was now sticky even more because of all the shaving cream.

We used to go out to the local Nuthouse, it was a place for all the developmentally disabled, the ones that are just to out of it to be at home. It was the HUGE complex in this really old building and it sits along the river. There is a gravel path leading from it along the river to the local college and on down to a seculded park. The kind of park that is out in the country and everyone goes to make out and smoke the green stuff at. There is also a bunch of picnic tables set up at the Nuthouse. So we used to park out at the park and walk up to the Crazy house and drink late at night. Creepy too cuz you can hear people screaming and stuff. One night RF, myself and another friend are out there drinking some Lil Kings when the security guard comes up on us. Luckily he was far enough away that we could get a good running start. Now its dark out there, I mean dark. So we can barely see more than just a few feet ahead of us. We start haulin butt and the security guard starts haulin too. We are runnin so fast and RF is holding my hand practically draggin me along. I tell Mike I cant see anything, were gonna trip and fall. Of course hes sayin that we arent. I no sooner say that then WHAM, we go down and go down hard. We turn around and look and luckily we dont see the guard. I had rocks embedded in my arms and knees and we lost the last couple of beers we had but it was funny as can be. We get back in the car and we are crackin up laughin, we took off and smoked one. Made us feel much better.

Now if we had a drug thread I got some funny ones for that too.

Is he full Blooded Bassett Hound? Awefully cute there, my Mom would love him!

  6. I am a thrift store junkie! Its great here for shopping at the Goodwill stores, there are 5 colleges and universities here and everytime those kids move out they dump half their stuff off at the thrift stores! I have no problem finding jeans with the tags still on from Gap, Hot Topic, Lord and Taylor, Pacific Sun and more! Whats really cool too is that more than one thrift store around here only charges a buck for all shirts, pants and shorts!
  7. 1. This is a very weird thread but also alot of fun.

    2. My dog is really freakin fat.

    3. The Lockheed Martin AGM-158 Joint Air-to-Surface Standoff Missile (JASSM) weighs1,000 kg (2,300 lb), has a range of more than 300 km (200 mi), and can be carried on fighter or bomber airplanes.

  9. One of my new favorite artists, Kurt Halsey. His work is very simplistic but it draws out the emotion, well in me anyway.

  10. So far I am not going to see any bands yet. I live in a smaller town that draws in medium sized bands mostly. None scheduled for here! Oh well Spring will be here soon enough and the Rock fest will be back. The only band worth traveling 3 to 4 hours to see is Rush so I wont be going to STL or KC!
  11. Yep I shop at Walmart. I also live in the Ozarks, only a couple of hours from where the whole thing started. You cant go anywhere without seeing one. Though one town around here tried to stop them they lost. Every Walmart here has a grocery store with it. Thats mostly why I shop there. But I will not buy clothes except for socks there, thats what thrift stores are for! Also OTC meds are much cheaper along with other tolietries. Oops the occasional dvd. But I have now moved to a town of about 8k, there is only a grocery store and Walmart here so sometimes you dont have a choice.

Oh and about the thirft store. I live about an hour away from Branson MO and their are quite a few very rich people around here. Every change of season alot of these people donate their clothes to the thrift stores and what a deal we get! I got a pair of American Eagle jeans about 3 weeks ago with the tag still on them for $2.99! The thrift store down by the University is cool at the end and beginning of semesters, so many clothes and that thrift store charges a buck for shirt and pants! I just love it!

  12. Its not a mixed drink its a shot!

    Buttery Nipples

In a shot pour a lil more than half full with Butterscotch Schnapps. Gently tilt the shot glass and pour on top till full with Irish Cream. Watch out because this shot tastes like ice cream and goes down VERY smooth. You will be trashed before you know it!

  13. I say LIVE! biggrin.gif For me I have seen them both indoors and out. My fondest memories have been outdoors though. Every tour except this year we have been way in the back indoors and in the lawn outdoors. I loved being out in the lawn with 20 to 30 of our friends sitting around partying out there! When your indoors you just cant do that. Nothing cooler than sitting there smoking and drinking with everyone. Screaming and jumping up and down, holding onto one another by the end of the show. Those memories are priceless!
