QUOTE (treeduck @ Jun 26 2012, 06:06 PM) QUOTE Don't tell me about The Dark Tower, I've not read the last three volumes yet...even though I first read the first volume back in 1987... You must re-read and finish the series. Stick with it even when you're saying "where the hell is he going with this?' in your head. Steve brings it home in a huge way.

Led Zepplin
July 20, 1977
Tempe, AZ US
A.S.U. Activities Center Arena
Setlist:
The Song Remains The Same, (The Rover intro) Sick Again, Nobody's Fault But Mine, Over the Hills and Far Away, Since I've Been Loving You, No Quarter, Ten Years Gone, Battle of Evermore, Going to California, Black Country Woman, Bron-Y-Aur Stomp, Trampled Underfoot, Black Mountainside ~ Kashmir, Jimmy Page solo, Achilles Last Stand, Stairway to Heaven.
How many ways can I say they sucked? From Bonham being incoherent, to Paige being too high to play, Robert trying to hit notes he no longer could, and poor John trying to hold them together.

QUOTE (invisibleairwaves @ Jul 18 2011, 08:15 PM) ^ Very impressive. I've been lusting after a D-50 for a while now. And an Odyssey? Beautiful. Nice collection of Hammonds too.
Speaking of organs, I ended up with an old, beaten-up Farfisa Combo Compact recently. Very similar to the keyboards used by Richard Wright on the early Floyd albums. Sounds incredible through a few guitar stompboxes and a JC120. But I'd love to get a Hammond+Leslie rig or at least a decent emulator someday.Love the Farcheeza! I haven't got one of those yet, though I had some chances to play them over the years. Very fun. If you're patient and watch Criags List someone will give you a Hammond. You will need a way to move it, but if you plan ahead and jump on it when it comes along it'll fall in your lap. I've been given many.
No One will give you a B3 but an A100 series is the same organ, and that they will give you. A leslie is harder, but I've bought two for under $50 each.

The Necromancer
We really liked them after the first album and Fly by Night , but when Caress of Steel came out we were fans for life

Working Man has so many memories. Listening to it my best friends room, and then Fly by Night came out. It was a time.

If Owen were the gunslinger, perfect.
I think he's more like Jake. The unwilling but capable hero.
