QUOTE (syd11 @ Oct 28 2010, 12:38 PM) Assuming that they do tour next summer and prior to the Clockwork Angels release,
here's how I think they'll tweak the setlist:
TSOR
Analog Kid
Animate
Workin' Them Angels
Leave That Thing Alone
Faithless
BU2B
Freewill
Marathon
Subdivisions
YYZ
Tom Sawyer
Red Barchetta
Caravan
C.A. new song
Test For Echo
Distant Early Warning
Drum solo
Closer to the Heart
Jacob's Ladder
Far Cry
Limelight
2112 Overture/Temples/GF
Working Man
Thoughts?I like it.
Except:
Time Stand Still for Analog Kid
Nobody's Hero for Freewill
Half the World for Test for Echo.
2112 for Far Cry, Far Cry for the Camera Eye.
Other than that, this set is awesome.

QUOTE (ReflectedLight @ Oct 25 2010, 08:42 PM) QUOTE (GuitarPlyr01 @ Oct 25 2010, 05:31 PM) I have them doing Permanent Waves back on Page 4. If you think about it, with the exception of Different Strings and Jacobs Ladder, they've played that whole album recently. Learning those two extra songs wouldn't be tough.
I think it would make everyone happy. Everyone would get their "Jacobs Ladder" fill they didn't get on this TM tour.
I can't see them doing MP again.i don't know dude, i feel burnt out from freewill being played. they need to drop it imo.
THAT I have to agree.
Same with 2112. I'm really, honestly sick of it.
Vapor Trails
R30
S&A 2 and
Time Machine
almost every tour since the "return".
And they played the ENTIRE thing on T4E. So 5 out of the last 6 tours.
It's time for it to go.

QUOTE (Snow-Dog2112 @ Oct 23 2010, 04:50 PM) SET ONE:
Far Cry
Red Barchetta
CwA song
Bu2b
marathon
limelight
The Camera Eye
Mal.Nar/geddy lee bass solo
Cold Fire
Subdivisions
SET TWO:
Permanent Waves
Caravan/drum solo
CwA song
Force Ten
YYZ
Tom Sawyer
ENCORE:
2112- overture/temples of syrinx/grand finale
La Villa Strangiato
Working Man (with original ending)Ha, a solo for Geddy!
Would be a neat thing to see, actually. He's really never gotten his own time in the "spotlight" unless you call his little thing in "Driven" when its played live.
Go for it, Ged.

Well, if the rumors are true and TM is going back out again next year, here's my new set.

Far Cry
Time Stand Still
Distant Early Warning
Half the World

Red Barchetta
Marathon
Subdivisions
Set 2
The Spirit of Radio
Freewill
Jacob's Ladder
Entre Nous
Different Strings
Natural Science

The Camera Eye
Tom Sawyer
Encore
La Villa
Working Man
(RUSH: Time Machine Tour 2011. Featuring for the first time ever "Permanent Waves" in it's entirety)
-
They'll probably drop a few things. Marathon I think will be one to stay.
I'd like to see Time Stand Still say, but I think it will go.
I almost want to guarantee Natural Science will be played. It seems like it's an every other tour type song.
Probably one of Neil's favorites, and Ged and Alex say "We played that last tour." Neil demands it and they just say "We'll play it next tour" and he holds them to it.
-
This was my 5th tour, 6th show.
I thought this tour was great, considering it was something they practically just threw together for fun.
Probably the most visual show. Alot of neat lights, a cool (finally moving!) rig, and some good videos.
Can't wait for the next tour!
(Whenever it may be)
-
Really. You have to ask the which songs the favorite:
XANADU
-
One of my top 5 all time favorite albums. Seriously, what's bad about it?
Still, I'd have to say:
Main Business of Monkeys
-
The Strange House
-
Whole album rocks.
That's all I'll say
-
Eh, this is another.....weak album for me.
I'd say
Nobody's Hero
OR
Animate (really great when they played it on R30. I thought it was a cool "blast from the past")
-
Dreamline
OR
Where's My Thing
-
This may be my least favorite album.
I'll say "Presto" by virtue of the fact they play it on the TM tour, and it was pretty good live and on the boots I have.
-
Alot of good songs on this album, too.
For me
Force Ten (yes I know, the "filler")
Prime Mover
Time Stand Still
(just my top 3, I like others on this album)
-
This album was weird. I was like "What?" when it came out.
I'd have to say Crossroads, cause I'm a big Clapton fan.
-
I know most don't agree with me, but I really like this album.
Considering the circumstances leading up to it, it could have been ALOT worse.
There are some great songs on this album.
I'd go with:
One Little Victory
Earthshine
Ceiling Unlimited
Then again, that's just me.
-
Half the World.
One of my top-5 all time favorites.
-
Alot of great songs on this album.
This is one of my top 3 favorite albums.
Still, I have to say Marathon.
(Greatest song ever???)
-
Subdivisions. No doubt.
Although I have a newfound liking for Digital Man since it was played on the S&A tours.
-
Spirit of Radio, duh?
But, Natural Science is fun to play on guitar.
-
Can't say I'm a fan of alot of pre-2112 material with the exception of songs played live recently.
Working Man for me
-
Distant Early Warning
OR
Between the Wheels.
Too tough to give a final answer.

QUOTE (That One Guy @ Oct 16 2010, 11:45 PM) I'd like to bring my fake setlist to the third page. It's too awesome.
Set One:
Limelight
Freewill
Territories
Malignant Narcissism
Tom Sawyer
Vital Signs
The Trees
Caravan
Secret Touch
Armor and Sword
La Villa Strangiato
Set Two:
Clockwork Angels Epic
Leave That Thing Alone
Jacob's Ladder
Red Barchetta
The Main Monkey Business
Drum Solo
Hemispheres Prelude / ByTor and The Snow Dog (shortened) / Working Man
The Spirit of Radio
Encore:
2112 Overture / Temples
YYZ
I'm pretty in love with this setlist. I think the band and fans alike would like a tour with an emphasis on Moving Pictures, Permanent Waves, Instrumentals, S & A, and the new material. It would also be pretty awesome to have 2112 start an encore.
It looks like there's a large amount of Hemispheres there too.If this "were" to be the setlist, I'd spend every cent I have and get to as many shows as I humanly could.
This set ROCKS!!!!
Alex's guitar tech...
in On The Lighted Stage
Posted · Edited by GuitarPlyr01
Alex didn't seem to have any problems at the Camden show. Which was great, cause I expected him to have some because of every other night prior to that.
That night, it was Geddy having the problems. He kept looking off to stage left during TSS and Presto going "I'm getting nothing" then went offstage and grabbed the all black Fender before going into Stick it Out. He finally picked up the usual Fender just before LTTA. But I think it was the bass itself, not his setup.
Holmdel. Alex had problems.
He seemed really unhappy in all those Boston videos on Youtube.
I have an uncle who tours in an audio crew. He agreed its definitely the guitar and the guitar setup. The only person to blame is the guitar tech.
I play guitar. I'd can the guy,
