That is interesting! All the pretzel rolls around here look like this , tops arranged a little more like a pretzel ;

I think they're OK but not something I would want to eat on every sandwich. Might be weird with peanut butter and jelly. :LOL:

the German restaurants in the area have rolls like that, but it seems the majority of places that offer pretzel rolls around Milwaukee get them from Miller Bakery :)

It goes without saying that they haven't hit Spokane yet.

Try back in fifteen years.

We don't even have a bakery independent of a supermarket.

This place is the pits.

Your area is probably way more healthy. Anytime PA people can put flour and water together with meat , they come up with something unusual! This is a very famous sandwich in Pittsburgh- I like pretzel rolls better, myself. . .

I never understood the concept of putting starch on top of starch - fries on a sandwich, potatoes on a pizza, etc. As much as I like bread, I don't want a bread sandwich :D

That sandwich started out in a diner (Primanti Bros.) that was open all night for trucker guys in the market district where they unload meat, fish, produce all night. So that made a little bit of sense, anyway, they needed calories. It turned into a place to go and pig out after the bars closed and now they are a chain. :( I'm the same way, that's an awful lot of starch!

These were pretty good at Dunkin Donuts. Not sure if they still have them tho. They were kind of expensive.

If you're gonna eat fries with a sandwich it's all going to the same place anyway.

Come on, you know that most people eat what they think tastes good or what they can afford. Very few people eat for good health. And those that simply SAY they do, don't actually know how OR they're just kidding themselves OR they're just flat out liars.
