Mystic Slipperman
Xanadu from ESL for me, hands down. I like the studio version, but this live version blows it away. And in spite of its sound quality, I tend to gravitate towards Rio for a lot of cuts - Bravado, Driven, NatSci, and especially La VIlla. Ghost of a Chance from Retrospective 3 as well .. I think that's from the S&A DVD? Edited August 16, 2016 by Mystic Slipperman
Citizen of the World
From the crowd singing on ESL, to the extended bass on SOH, to Alex's band introductions on the Counterparts tour; Closer to the Heart has always been better live.

Jaminbenb
Anything Vapor Trails live is better than the album. Yeah..Secret Touch was VERY good live!
GeddysMullet
I'm fond of this performance because Geddy bellowing "WAAAAAAAA-AAAAAA-AAAARGH!" as he does at around 3:46 is always a winner with me! Yeah..Secret Touch was VERY good live!Vocals on R30 for Secret Touch are perfection. Tombstone Mountain
Jacob's Ladder R40. Any day I'd rather hear the live version from this tour. Cooler still to see it. My view from all three shows I attended were as good or better than this.I guess being the YBG Editor has its perkshttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mi6abwHw8GY I was standing right next to this guy when he filmed it in Seattle. In front of me was Ben Cameron and Kim Thayil Edited August 20, 2016 by Tombstone Mountain

Eel Yddeg
Most songs sound better live then in the studio, honestly! The ones that stick out the most: - By-Tor And The Snow Dog (Only full versions through 1977)- Working Man (Only full versions through 1977)- 2112 (From 1976-1978)- Natural Science (Especially the Test For Echo versions)- Xanadu (Mostly the intro sounds better live)

The Xanadu intros are interesting to listen to in the late seventies and very early eighties. Some of them were very unique. I'm fond of this performance because Geddy bellowing "WAAAAAAAA-AAAAAA-AAAARGH!" as he does at around 3:46 is always a winner with me! http://youtu.be/488-9SKxqqY And then he throws his head back! :) Edited August 20, 2016 by Lorraine

EagleMoon
I'm watching R30 tonight. They're doing Earthshine. That song has so much more power to it live.
