Honestly!! It really doesn’t get much better, save some long lost cutting room floor Queen tapes get released or the classic 5 man Genesis lineup spontaneously decides to record an album together.

Panic! Panic! Panic! Panic!

Viva Las Vengeance is the greatest thing they’ve done since losing members… and Brendan knows it.

Still Trivium.  I've been hooked on metal but these guys have really stood out this go around.

I'm so glad! In my honest opinion, they are one of the greats. I KNOW THIS OS BLASPHEMY but growing up THIS was myetal, not Metallica or Slipknot. A foundational band for me. Ascendancy hit my UK generation the way Puppets did the eighties. It's really hard to explain just how impactful they were on 2005.

I haven't even listened to them since before everything happened with him. So, I don't know if this has affected my enjoyment of the music or not.

Smashing Pumpkins.

granted i only like the first 3 records but they're awesome so i really don't need the rest.

There is something some warm about the early wall of guitars era pumpkins.

Then Mellon Collie is just one of the most diverse double albums ever.

f**k Nirvana when there's this.

(this shot at nirvana was paid for by myself:thumbsup:)

What are your thoughts on Adore? I think it's a pretty underrated record.

adore is pretty good  i'll have to play it again.  I remember at the time it was pretty out of left field.  The new Pumpkins albums have pretty much taken the electronic thing asnd ran with it.

When i was a kid.  My uncle got me a greatest hits CD.  I fell in love.  the playing is great.  the songs are literal ear candy.  The harmonies are amazing.

they're my fav southern rock band.  even over Skynyrd.

They still rock out in concert too, or that's what our neighbors told us!   They still have the main guy, Henry Paul, and came to our town 2 years ago in concert. We got tickets wayyy in advance and then our daughter decided to get married that day.   Our neighbors were excited to get free tickets and they said it was a great show!  Still give my kid a hard time about it once in awhile.   (Correction to say 2.75 years ago, just before the pandemic started.  Seems like longer ago.)

Billy is a way better guitarist than Kurt.

Grohl is nearly on the level of Jimmy, though.  The new song is a nice return after the sub par Adore style of Cyr.  Riff kind of sounds like Eye of the Beholder by Metallica.

Nirvana and Smashing Pumpkins are nothing alike.

And Nirvana are definitely my favourite of the two

I’ve never thought about which one I would choose over the other. On one hand, Nirvana have a much smaller catalogue to deal with and it’s all very good. On the other, just based on the couple pumpkins albums I’ve heard, they’re right up there as well!
