Highway 395 and several arterials are closed due to flooding. And I spent my afternoon shoveling mud, wet straw, and horse manure trying to get the water out of my friend's horse corrals. One of her horses has a bad case of rain rot, which looks like this...

But it's on the horse's face. :(

Poor horse....! Hope she recovers... :hug2:

Thanks. We have three days of dry, sunny weather, so that should help.

I've seen horses get stuff like that from a fungus. The hair peels right off. Hope they can get it treated.

2 degrees here........the day after we got over a foot of snow. More snow Saturday, (only 1-3 inches) then and a big one Sunday into Monday. I also heard a big storm next thursday too. Winter has finally begun here in Maine.

Well, the meme didn't work. Heavenly Valley is reporting 42" of new snow in the past 24 hrs. No typo. 42 inches!

Supposed to be sunny and high around 90. Thursday high around 95 but we're approaching winter so it will be down in the 80's after that. Been dry and we need the rain.

So...in the past 72 hours, Tahoe has gotten 72 inches of snow. That's six feet, folks!

:D-13:

The snow base at Squaw Valley is reportedly 252 inches. 252/12 = 21 feet.

Redundancy Rules. It's really DARK.
