Hidden Gem on each album

Rush: Here Again

Fly By Night: Making Memories

Caress of Steel: The Necromancer

2112: The Twilight Zone

AFtK: A Farewell to Kings

Hemispheres: Circumstances

Permanent Waves: Different Strings (I would've said JL, but that one was recently put in the limelight this past tour.)

MP: Witch Hunt

Signals: The Weapon

P/G: Kid Gloves

PoW: Emotion Detector

HYF: Turn The Page

Presto: Chain Lightning

RTB: Face Up

Counterparts: Cold FIre

Test For Echo: Limbo

Vapor Trails: Vapor Trail

Snakes & Arrows: We Hold On

Clockwork Angels: Seven Cities of Gold

I'm a bass player and alot of these songs have killer bass work and are just really diamonds in the rough that I feel don't get enough attention. Really some good stuff...

Before And After (whole album's kind of like a hidden gem though)

Beneath, Between, and Behind

Lakeside Park

Tears (or Something For Nothing)

Cinderella Man (or A Farewell To Kings)

Circumstances

Entre Nous

Vital Signs

Chemistry

Kid Gloves

Emotion Detector

Open Secrets (or Tai Shan :P)

Red Tide

Face Up

Cut To The Chase

Time And Motion

The Stars Look Down

The Way The Wind Blows

The Anarchist

Could've picked an almost entirely different set and felt satisfied. Rush is a hidden gem in the world of rock music...one that is not so hidden these days actually.

EDIT: lol, forgot RTB the first time. Face Up is literally the reason I wanted to make the thread.

Great list, but...in what world is a band's highest charting single of all time a hidden gem? (NWM)

I guess I have to brush up on my history :P

I was basing it off how many tours the guys have played it live. But I guess if it's too popular, I'll pick anotha one haha

I'm not sure it's so popular around here actually. That commerciality factor seems to work against the opinions of these TrueRushFans but it did chart really high (for Rush any way).

I can't bring myself to call anything on that album a "gem."

What's interesting (to me) is many of the songs listed in other posts in this thread as "hidden gems" also appear as the "worst" song on each album in that thread.
