Lost In Xanadu
While some of Rush and Zeppelin definitely could fall into this category... any other ideas? I have a nerd trivia thing I am organizing for our company's annual olympic games. Categories such as Star Wars, Star Trek, Lord of the Rings, Marvel vs DC... and I wanted to have a music category too. Also - any other ideas for fun categories would be welcomed. fraroc
I'd say that Yes sometimes fits in this category
JohnnyBlaze
I think the regular Joe wouldn't recognize or know a lot of Tull, early Genesis, or Yes. Go with Devo. Everyone at your office will know them. Everyone at your office will immediately visualize nerds when they hear "Whip It". In fact, I'd have THAT song introduce some of the festivities.

KenJennings
Arjen Lucassen of Ayreon formed a supergroup project called Star One, and they made two albums that were comprised of lyrics inspired by sci fi. Songs of the Ocean, inspired by Star Trek IV: Oh, and also all of his stuff with Ayreon follows a pretty nerdy sci-fi/fantasy concept, and has some killer guest musicians to boot.
