Best Rush "Four Pack?"

I have a feeling something like was discussed a couple years back, but anyway...

Which four albums in a row are your favourites? For me, the classic Rush era is from 77 - 81. Or best four albums are:

A Farewell to Kings, Hemispheres, Permanent Waves and Moving Pictures. This to me, IS Rush. I could listen to only those four albums and get my fix.

So........................

COS 2112 AFTK Hemispheres. I listen to these more than the rest of the catalogue combined

A Farewell To Kings to Moving Pictures

Although Fly By Night to AFTK comes to a pretty equal alternative.

Yes, the prog period is my favorite and gets the most spins for me.

Sorry...but as a beer geek, I gotta go with a SIX pack!

CoS, 2112, AFTK, Hemi, PW, MP!

Being a glutton I need a starter beer before my six pack.

Adds Fly By Night.

Throw in Signals and I would be happy, but I would be content with just the four you mentioned.

The Fantastic Four:

A Farewell To Kings

Hemispheres

Permanent Waves

Moving Pictures

Strong alternatives available, but not strong enough

Caress Of Steel, 2112, A Farewell To Kings and Hemispheres

How this band evolved and took on the music world, going from Down The Tubes to the most influential and unique act of their genre was truly special ..

The creativity from 1975 to 1978 was electric

Starting to think Fly By Night to A Farewell To Kings is my status doubt quartet...

I get In The End, Bastille Day, 2112, Xanadu. And these are each my favourite tracks off their respective albums...and then the rest?

Gimme!

So, it seems like for most here, the issue is AFTK or Signals.

Here's some heresy. AFTK is, hands down, their most overrated (here) album.

You are overrated.

SQUEEEE!
