Rush "Greatest Duds Tour" Setlist

Thought this concept for a tour would be quite interesting and amusing. As I couldn't be bothered to put this one in much of an order, I decided to just go chronologically backwards like the R40 Tour. I included Tom Sawyer and The Spirit of Radio only because I consider them to be essential live staples, not because I think they're duds! Would be interested to see other people's "Dud Tour" setlists. This thread is not meant to be serious and certainly no-disrespect to the band is intended from me! With that said, here it is...

One man's dud song is another's favorite. :codger:

Let's take me and Mick as an example. :)

I listened to Queen's A Day At The Races earlier today and wasn't much taken with the album. At all. With one exception - White Man.

Mick, who loves the album, said there's one song on the album he can't stand - White Man.

This list can't be real.

Hope would have to be on it.

Plus any Greatest Duds list would have to have Feedback and Vapor Trails played in it's entirety

Open with Hold Your Nose in it's entirety. Then anything else gets better after that.

Check that. Hold Your Nose and Presto in their entirety. Then the encore can be Rivendell.

Done. It's a wrap.

Noticing a distinct lack of Madrigal

One of the most beautiful moments on the bands best album.

The OP calls this idea 'quite interesting and amusing'...I must respectfully disagree.

That is all.

And reading through the comments, I feel out of touch.

I love all of Hold Your Nose!!

I do too!

I just see this as another exercise causing disagreement amongst us- which isn't a bad thing, by itself. But the dimension of those disagreements grows to a ridiculous proportion. (See the Is Rush Metal thread).

Sadly, this is why I have chosen to avoid this part of the forum. Came back in again recently but it is just never ending clashes and disputes.

I swear, if I started a "let's remember why we love Rush thread", loads will chime in with "but that's why I disliked them/you are wrong/that is overrated".

Boring.

I tried a couple of threads like this for a laugh and they didn't pan out very well.

Probably because it's a fantastic love song.

S&A followed by a giant air horn to wake everyone up and clear them out for the next show. Preferably Joyce Meyer so the reduction in the preachiness isn't too jarring.
