And I don't foresee that happening at all :D No, I don't listen to them everyday. Sometimes I go weeks or maybe even months without listening to them. That doesn't mean they're not my faves, nor does their retirement change anything. And there are other bands who come and go as my "favourite of the moment" but that does not displace Rush as my favourite band. :rush:Nailed it... Digital Dad Posted April 7, 2016 Share Posted April 7, 2016 Well...if they are done as a band they probably won't remain #1. Honestly the only reason I got into them again is because they came back. Until VT happened I pretty much got off the bus after the twin disappointments of RTB/CP. My other favorite bands are all now extinct (namely Yes, Genesis, Floyd) Frank Zappa is dead and Peter Hammill is in the twilight of his career. Maybe if they continue to be awesome Mastodon may eventually take over for Maiden, who are probably right now #1. In other words, probably not as I don't get into newer bands as much as I used to. It is very not like me Im very old school and hard to teach new tricks. New music to me has no soul or meaning which ever way you look at it.
