Unfortunately, I only have dvd copies of R30 that include the first half of the show and the other disc is interviews throughout the decades. The only complete R30 show I have is Project R30, the Radio City Music Hall concert. :)

I couldn't figure out why I couldn't get the dvd to play only to discover I had it in upside down. I hope the rest of my day gets better.

No sign from Alex.

But, here's a neil question.

Is it my imagination or does he no longer beat his drums as hard as he used to?

I think his playing changed after he hooked up with Freddie Gruber. I know he complained that while his drumming had been precise, it had become mechanical and metronomic, with no feel. So I think Gruber taught him to swing a little more. I think that is what you may be hearing because I have noticed the same thing.

Yeah if you watch his drum videos he talks about how the beat doesn't end at the drum but is a circular motion. Was supposed to help with the pounding the arms and shoulders get from hitting so hard. It was supposed to let him play longer at the same intensity with less pain.

Neil...Neil...

What's the deal?

Has all touring lost its appeal?

Don't look like you've missed a meal!

For us fans you have no zeal?

Are you tired of being called a heel?

What's it like to make Carrie squeal? <<hey this is a family board!>>

Won't your bank account congeal?

Will I resort to listening to Seal?

No. He still pounds the shit out of them. He's a big guy and though he's more fluid in his technique and not ramming the sticks down on the drumhead with his forearm like he used to he still beats the piss out of them.

Watch him play and see everything shake. Pounding.

All we need is Neil's daughter is to say that she misses seeing Daddy and Uncle Alex and Uncle Geddy play music at the show. "When can you play again? That was fun!!"

Then Neil would invite them over for dinner, they would get drunk on Ged's wine, then jam for Olivia at the house.

I'll always be grateful to Neil for signing my Rolling Stone Magazine cover and taking the time to print ever so nicely "To Lorraine". :)

See Neil is a good guy , argument over we can stop hating him now . :rage:
