Best Song Beginning

As a opposite of Best song ending, here are the beginnings that start the song with a bang.

For me, the absolute winner is the intro of Xanadu, which is right up there with the end of 2112 as the greatest Rush passages on record.

Spirit of Radio is a close second.

Post yours.

I agree with Xanadu .. Alex sets such a fantastic vibe with his volume swells

But my favorite is Cygnus X1, with the odd narration and eerie spaced-out sounds of interplanetary travel

The Necromancer is up there too .. Again, Alex sets up the entire song with the atmosphere

I'm gonna have to go with Limelight. When I hear that opening riff blast out of my radio, without any sort of warning or premonition, it always lifts my mood.

My favorite opening as well! :)

Can't pick one but agree with all stated already....one that's has a great intro and finish is chain lightning....another is digital man.....another yet...the weapon...and ( don't care if Rush abandoned it)... Countdown....all feature both to me....

Can't pick just one.....I'd go with Xanadu, Hemispheres, Tom Sawyer, The Spirit of Radio, and The Big Money
