It was on line and dead center with a half a foot to go. The golf gods put right turn on it. That's the third time a 62 in a major was spoiled by a lip-out. Jack Nicklaus had one of them, but his putt attempt was a flat-out miss. He said today that Phil was "stone-cold robbed." 1
Disembodied Spirit Posted July 15, 2016 Posted July 15, 2016 The British Open is my least favorite tournament because Paulina Gretzky will have more clothes on.British Weather..Bollocks 1

Fred Star Posted July 15, 2016 Posted July 15, 2016 Another point: The camera man does not choose what airs. They point and shoot. Like the cameramen at baseball games, in between batters, when they keep zooming back to a certain hottie in the stands?  A certain county (Nottinghamshire) here in the U.K. has passed a motion that any Leering, Lewd Comments, Wolf-Whistling, Random Touching (Groping) etc will be seen as a "Hate Crime" and therefore a criminal offence . The above my friends would also come under the hate crime umbrella.. it aint just Baseball either, from what i've seen, they all do that. I think i just lost interest in televised sport. LOL !

The big four of hate crime: Stalin, Hitler, Mao and Benny Hill.

goose Posted July 16, 2016 Posted July 16, 2016 Fierce cross winds reeking havoc with early-start golfers so far this morning. Any Moving Day action likely to be in the wrong direction. Will Phil hang on?
goose Posted July 16, 2016 Posted July 16, 2016 JB Holmes making an early move with 3 birdies in the first 5 holes.

The two leading 'Sons (Sten- and Mickle-) are playing great!
goose Posted July 16, 2016 Posted July 16, 2016 (edited) Well, the easy stuff is over. Stenson already giving strokes back, falling behind a stroke to Phil. 11 and 10 under, respectively. Edited July 16, 2016 by goose

Agree. When did we go from calling it 'The British Open' to 'The Open' ??I must have been asleep when the memo came outThe Open Why not make it even more British...'The Oh, Good seeing you old chap, use proper grammar now, we now refer to it as The Open' 1

Phil had some great par saves. Only one putting yips hiccup...which sadly is the difference right now.

Principled Man Posted July 17, 2016 Posted July 17, 2016 Frigging Phil. Throws a dart at 1, almost chips in on 2...  He's quite unhappy with his missed birdie putt on #8. That was one of his easier putts. 1
Principled Man Posted July 17, 2016 Posted July 17, 2016 Stenson and Mickelson are on FIRE!! Their shots are laser accurate!! What a GREAT slugfest......:ebert:
Principled Man Posted July 17, 2016 Posted July 17, 2016 CLUTCH par save by Mickelson on 12. Two bad shots erased by a brilliant putt. 1
goose Posted July 17, 2016 Posted July 17, 2016 What a putt by Stenson!Back to back snakes! What an exhibition.
