Cute story from a Toronto paper about the guy who modeled for the cover of Power Windows. Doesn't say how much (or if) he got paid, though!

I'm just glad to hear it was a normal person; Syme's art looks a little like someone with a strange perversion living all alone with those TVs . . . . .:o Edited by blueschica

Nothing about his time in jail for breaking and entering local record stores to destroy all visual evidence of his cooperation in the project?

Where's the Roll the Bones skull kicker?

According to a few sources on the internet (so it must be true), it is a guy named Michael Van Der Veldt.

Sounds like a Star Wars Sith Lord if you ask me, Darth Van Der Veldt.

But, then again, maybe I will start a web theory it was a young Marilyn Manson. Bet I can get that one to stick, too...

I have that promotional window stand-up that he's peering through in the one photo in the article.

Thanks for posting the article. Cool read.

I have that Power Windows stand up display. They are very rare and worth a little $$$ One of my favorite Rush collectibles! Mine is in Mint shape and I also have the Grace Under Pressure stand up display.
