Segue Myles Posted January 14, 2016 Posted January 14, 2016 One of my favourite actors. I am truly heartbroken, sorry to hear this. He was a huge part of my childhood. 2
Blue J Posted January 14, 2016 Posted January 14, 2016 One of my favourite actors. Mine as well. What a tremendous actor he...was. :( 2
Blue J Posted January 14, 2016 Posted January 14, 2016 What an awful year for so far for losing amazing talent. :( Indeed. Make it stop! :( 2
Segue Myles Posted January 14, 2016 Posted January 14, 2016 I am actually close to years, this was truly one of my biggest heroes growing up, I followed his career seemingly from the moment I first saw him as Snape, when I was 11 years old. 1
JohnnyBlaze Posted January 14, 2016 Posted January 14, 2016 Even when I didn't like the movie he was in (ex: Sweeney Todd), I thought HE was always good no matter what. This is a big loss. 1
PolarizeMe Posted January 14, 2016 Posted January 14, 2016 What an awful year for so far for losing amazing talent. :( Indeed. Make it stop! :(I share your sentiments. I can't seem to ignore the fact that Alan died the same age as Bowie and apparently he had cancer too. RIP :( 1

I LOVE THIS GUY! I put him in the same box as Gary Oldman, and Johnny Depp, an actor capable of portraying LOTS of different charcters! Some of the movies I know he's been in, 1. Die Hard, the first time I saw him, as Hans Gruber.2.Love, Actually, a friend turned me on to this film.3. Dogma, one of the Kevin Smith chain of films, playing an Angel.4. Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves, Seriff of Notingham.5. Alice In Wonderland, The voice of the Caterpillar.6.All of the Harry Potter films, Severus Snape. Edited January 14, 2016 by OldRUSHfan 1

Principled Man Posted January 14, 2016 Posted January 14, 2016 I know him best as Hans Gruber, the brilliant and vicious criminal from Die Hard. A classic character......:ebert: http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_X3X-pfQGdZI/TPHfVLfVMrI/AAAAAAAAAKM/euh0SFwIlk4/s1600/hans-gruber.gif 3
OldRUSHfan Posted January 14, 2016 Posted January 14, 2016 Thanks for telling me. All I've known up til now is a Obit thread in a 'current events' forum....is there one place to place your death notices? or is this just because he was an actor in Videos of different kinds?
geezer Posted January 14, 2016 Posted January 14, 2016 One of the best (maybe 'worst' would match better) villains of the (not so) old timesDo you remember him in 'Quigley Down Under'? 3
Del_Duio Posted January 14, 2016 Posted January 14, 2016 And Lemmy turned 70 4days before he died. :( That's because Death was coming for everybody aged 69, and Lemmy told him to go f**k himself. 1
