Are you going to make me cry Pat? FUKK!!! Incredible.

:musicnote: If you believe in forever

Then life is just a one-night stand

If there's a rock and roll heaven

Well you know they've got a hell of a band, band, band :musicnote:

I LOVE THIS!!!! IT'S TRUE!

Nailed it. We're at an odd age where we get to see our gods retire or retire by death. So far this one hits as hard as Dio's passing.

Was never a fan at all, but I know he was quite influential. RIP.

Well said.

I think there will be a lot of that coming out of the industry in regard to his passing. Even those who weren't into Motorhead will tip their hat to a man who defined the attitude of metal more than the actual sound of metal.

Jesus OZZY!

My 18 year old daughter just said this to me!

Dave Henderson of the A's just passed away and now Lemmy.

She brought that up to my attention.

All of my influences and mentors and mortal heroes are dying.

It's a fuckedd up part of dealing with reality.

"We are only immortal for a limited time." A cliche on here, but true in the big scheme of things.

Lemmy´s death is one of those things you´re expecting for a while, and yet we´re never ready for it. I only saw Motorhead once, opening for maiden in 1996, and they were awesome. I own only two of their albums - Ace of Spades and Another Perfect Day, both of which I love. This goes to show that we should enjoy the so-called dinosaurs of rock and metal while we can - we never know when it´ll be our last chance to see them. R.I.P. Lemmy.

I love to tell the story of Lemmy giving me a can of Carlsberg Special Brew during a Motörhead gig in Bolton way back in 1978. He actually offered me a swig, I think, but me being me I necked the can and held the prize aloft like it was a gold medal or a cup final trophy. To me it was.

I remember being at a house party and we headbanged to the track Motörhead off the vinyl 12" EP for about an hour - at which point we were too drunk, dizzy or sick ( or all 3 ) to continue. It was a beast of a track at the time.

We all thought Lemmy, like Ozzy, was indestructible and I'll bet good money that he went out on his terms.

Was never a Motorhead fan but Lemmy was hugely influencial in my favorite genre of music. He lived the hard rock and roll life with no apologies and was the very definition of a rock legend. Thought he would end up outliving us all.

RIP

I would echo the same sentiments and add that of all the stories I have heard of people meeting him, he really seemed to be good to the fans and you always have to admire that.

RIP, Lemmy.

I never loved Motörhead the same way that I've been into some other metal bands, but their influence is huge, over the whole heavy metal landscape. Lemmy seemed to be an amazing human being...just such a force. His presence will really be missed.
