Hahahahahaha!!!! After I saw "The Force Awakens" for the first time it was like this: A NEW HOPEEMPIRERETURNFORCE AWAKENS Then I saw it for a second time: A NEW HOPEFORCE AWAKENSEMPIRERETURN I'm going tomorrow night for my third time! Jedi prediction using the Force: FORCE AWAKENSA NEW HOPEEMPIRERETURN LOL!That kind of progressive insanity is what this guy went through: http://pics.blameitonthevoices.com/102010/jack_nicholson_shining.gif I can imagine you talking to your daughter..."Hey Zoe? Sweet pea? Come on out. Let's go watch Force Awakens just one more time." Edited December 31, 2015 by JohnnyBlaze
alphseeker
Just saw it with my wife and 30 year old son. WOW. emotions of the first trilogy just rushed in full force from beginning to end. Had to remind myself to breathe. One horrible negative thing about the movie: God i'm getting old :|Next viewing will be with my 10 year old grandson who was sick tonight. I baptized him into the Force last month watching 4-6 for the first time. I will not however, expose him to the Farce of 1-3. Tombstone Mountain
Just saw it for the second time tonight. It was better this time around. The world that JJ Abrams has expanded is monstrous, yet so true to the elan vital of Star Wars. What a feat to accomplish.

Why shouldn't he say "Star Wars movie"? Just because YOU didn't like it? Perhaps you would be happier staying in the "Star Wars is overrated" thread. No, because I can't see how anyone can rate it higher than empire for sure. while I appreciate your concern for my happiness I think I'll continue to visit and post in any thread I enjoy. Crimsonmistymemory
Here is how Rey came into the scene. Just as it was explained by Shmi regarding Anikins birth and confirmed by Qui-Gon Jinn, wait for it, wait for it...... Medi-chlorians! It explains everything! The force Awakens! A child that could easily abandoned is one that the conception could not be explained! It also keeps the parallelism in tact and generates the whole "who is Rey's parents" questions and plot thickiners that can can be milked for at least 2 more movies. You heard it here 1st!! Presto-digitation
According to my buddy Eric, he's heard that The Force Awakens still may overtake the all-time #1 grosser, Avatar, this weekend and by next weekend at the outside. Projections for final numbers are $900 million in the US alone, which would best Avatar by $140 million domestically. Pretty staggering.
EagleMoon
I finally got around to seeing this movie tonight. I thought it was okay but it didn't thrill me like the old movies did. It seemed to kind of drag at the beginning and all the build up and then nothing at the end. The special effects were very well done though. Sure, I liked this new one but I'm 43...I just don't get as "thrilled" for these movies as I did as a little kid.

I was 17 when I saw the first movie, so I wasn't a little kid. I just didn't think Ren was believeable at all. It Just seemed to lack any depth at all which surprised me a little. The scenes seemed done poorly. Maybe it'll seem better once the second movie comes out.

I just didn't see anything that special about this movie. But don't get me wrong, I enjoyed it. It just wasn't as impressive as it could have been.

D3strukt
I've seen it 4 times so far, it really gets better the more you watch it. Remember, it's been 10 years. It's a lot harder to just jump into something with wild abandon. It was like this when TPM came out in 99 too. Unfortuantely The Prequels pretty much fell on everything, where this does not. There's a reason it's gonna knock Titanic and Avatar off, because it's good.

There's a reason it's gonna knock Titanic and Avatar off, because it's good. And because it was good, it will be surpassed in first week sales by Episode VIII. Fans can't wait to see what happens to Luke, Rey and Ren. If Episode VIII succeeds, then VII, VIII and IX may end up being the all-time best selling films.
