"Core" is a great record then I lost touch. I saw STP three years ago at The Greek in Berkeley. I thought they were great.

Sadly this news doesn't shock me at all.

I always thought Scott was going to be found on his tour bus dead ten years ago.

at his angriest Sex Type Thing

Yes Bob, as stated I am not a big fan but I was very impressed when I saw them live.

I'm glad I saw STP.

I saw Layne in Alice In Chains before he died. He was in a wheelchair with a broken leg. Still sang great. It was the Ozzy No More Tears Tour.

Very sad to hear but at the same time not that surprising.

Was a pretty big fan of those first two STP albums. They were part of the soundtrack to my high school years. Good memories attached to those two records.

RIP :rose:

It was only a matter of time. RIP.

Exactly!

Hey thanks to having the first two Alice In Chains albums on iTunes I was able to pick up "Core" for free. I was also able to get "Bad Motorfinger" too!

BM BLOWS AWAY CORE!

Signed,

"Jesus Fukking Christ Pose"

One of the best songs ever made!

Core and Ten by Pearl Jam were the albums that got me out of listening to top 40 pop when I was in junior high and I never looked back as a rock and alt rock buff. Got both albums in Xmas 93 when I was 13. I could tell it was gonna happen if he didn't clean his act up. Sad that he went the way of Layne Staley and Amy Winehouse. JUST.SAY.NO.

Gonna do a Spotify marathon of their albums in honor when I wake up.

RIP :rose:

Same here. I got Core in Xmas 93 during junior high and Tiny Music came out when I was in 9th grade. Played No. 4 a lot in my first year of college as well when that came out.

Sadly I am totally unfazed by his death.

I honestly don't care.

This was a given.

Too bad.

RIP!

Sadly,

It appears Scott Weiland has passed away.

He was found dead on his tour bus.

While people will focus on his drug addiction, I choose to focus on his music.

What a loss...

...rest in peace Scott.

Really sad news, anytime we lose a musician- but also especially because of the demons he had- evidently for a long, long time.

RIP...and rock on.

Sad to see. Also an STP fan but a Scott weiland fan as well. He added something special to everything he did. It's hard to see someone that could potentially have it all do this to themselves. Vocally he was a bit of a chameleon that could sound completely different based on the song.
