Bootlegs are overrated.

Collecting bootlegs is the musical version of collecting comics, only for geeks and saddoes.

I don't collect them either. I really enjoy listening to them.

I know I'm not a geek, and I'm sorry I looked up what a saddo is.

i still love my bootlegs.

I'm much the same as Lorraine . . . I enjoy the energy of the performances.

Tony . . . . Come over to the dark side . . . . we have bootlegs . . . . . .

I actually have lots of them, including vinyl from the 70s but I never listen to them. I acquire them just for the sake of it.

Must not be able to find many good ones, huh.....

"Collecting" is an over rated term...it's more like getting them to hear what you can't officially (how else can you hear a live version of Cygnus/Hemispheres or ____________ ?)

I know people that try to find anything that's out there, which is fine...I was more of a once I got a good sounding show from whatever tour, I was happy, and only went for something else if someone said "this show sounds better".... Which is why I probably "collected" so many shows over the years....

So, you keep your comics bagged and boarded and never read them. That's pretty geeky.

HAHAHA!

Decades ago I used to buy every Rush bootleg I could find on vinyl.

I still have them, but I haven't owned a record player in 30 years! FUKK IT!

I have been collecting Star Wars figs since the mid Nineties when they reissued everything.

I have two of everything.

All of my small figs are still mint on card sealed in comic book bags. Luckily I can't read my Star Wars figures like a comic book.

May The Farce Be With You.

Hahaha! Don't worry buddy! Go watch "Blazing Saddles!" I'm talking about the bean scene. Not the "Anagram" For Mongo scene. LOL!

Rush Tour - Fifth Order of Angels (Cleveland 8/26/74)

Fly By Night - Bad Boys in Cleveland (5/15/75)

Caress of Steel - Stainless Steel (Rockford, 11/15/75 - terrible quality, but only one!)

2112 - Tuning Man (Springfield 5/30/76)

ATWAS - By-Tor's Battle V.02 (Seattle 10/25/76) and The Work of Gifted Hands (Fresno 11/28/76) with By-Tor/Necromancer and Twilight Zone)

AFTK - Ron's Vault Release 5 (Fresno 9/28/77)

Archives - Niagara Falls Revisited (Niagara 5/10/78)

Hemispheres - Universe Divided (Offenbach 5/28/79) and Buenos Nochas Motor City (Detroit 12/2/78) with uncut Cygnus Books 1 & 2 and Circumstances)

Perm Waves - One Year Later and Another Hostage Released (Inglewood 3/10/80)

Pre-Moving Pictures - Something Old, Something New Remastered (Allentown 9/30/80)

Moving Pictures - Chicago Definitive(Chicago 3/1/81) and Anaheim Definitive (6/16/81)

Signals - Hartford 1st Generation Remaster (1/4/83)

I'm always on the lookout for good bootlegs from the Signals tour, but I don't have that one - the ones I have skip January of 1983 altogether. I have the one from Worcester in December of 1982 and then it skips January and picks up with California on February 14 and 15, 1983.

My mistake Lorraine, should have read 4/1/83....

That one I have :) and will now give a listen to it.

I've done the same thing you did - inverted numbers like that. In fact, it has happened quite a few times  , so no worries at all!

What happened at the beginning of Subdivisions? Now we know that the first R40 Toronto show wasn't the first time Geddy messed up the intro. He did it when he was young too. ;)

Alex doing a swell "subdivisions" on this one too. Sing it, Al! :)

Good listing! Been wanting to get my "best of tour" back in order... you have a few I don't....may need to go "collect" those!

I used to have the best of each tour marked on my list...but I had a computer meltdown about 8-10 years back, and THAT list got lost...had to rebuild from a previous list (which just had everything by band and date)... I THINK I finally have it all back (as far as what I have burnt)

Because the tour did not resume until February 1983.

As for the Signals tour, it would depend on what "quality" you are after. If we are talking sound, then yes your options may be limited. There are good performances that do not have good sound from this tour.

Edited for clarity.
