Caitlin Clark with 10 assists so far vs the Chicago Sky.  It's midway thru the 3rd qtr.

The high number of assists the result Chennedy Carter doing a nice job defending Clark's shot and drive.  Carter went 6 for 6 early to energize Chicago.  Indiana dominating the back half of the 3rd.  Clark and Boston looking like Stockton-Malone.  68-57 Fever off yet another Clark assist.  She got two more while I was writing this post, lol.

And Mitchell just had a 4pt play.  72-57 Indiana

Chicago battles back to tie it with 2 min to go!  Solid Sky defense and undisciplined play by the Fever, with dumb fouls.

Chicago goes up by two off a nice inside move by Reese.  This is followed by back to back inbound possessions where Clark inexplicably does not touch the ball and Indiana fails to score.

Aliyah Boston steps out for a deep three!

88-87 Chicago with 19.7 sec to go

Indiana fouls, both free throws are missed, and the Fever get the rebound.

Coach doesn't use its reset timeout and instead forces it full court for a wild layup attempt.  They foul with .5 sec.

Horrible coaching down the stretch

Fever taking on the Seattle Storm and it ain't going well for Caitlin and Co.  Jewel Lloyd had 23 pts in the first half

With 13 seconds to go in the half Indiana finally decides to run a play for that Clark kid.  Bucket.

Down 19pts, the Fever have cut it to 9.

And that quick, it's back to 13

Has the NBA -- or any sport -- had a more obvious example of who's really running the team? From the coaching situation to drafting this G-League caliber nepo baby, LeBron has that whole franchise in his pocket. And is it because he's lead them to title after title? Where does this deference even come from? Marketing?

I thought it was funny how NBA analyst Woj described how much "ceiling" Bronny James has, which struck me as euphemism for "he's not an NBA player, but might be someday?"

Hey, the Lakers won the in season tournament last year..did everybody just forget that?!?

I hear the NBA is just cancelling the games next year, and the championship will be decided by which team gets mentioned most by Stephen A. On First Take.  It's the Lakers vs the Knicks...LET'S GO!!!!!!!

In their respective team losses, both the Fever and Sky faced superior defenses that focused efforts on shutting down the two rookie phenoms, Clark and Reese.  In spite of that, the pair racked up impressive stats, with Clark putting up 15 pts, 7 assists and 6 rebounds while Reese had 18 pts and 11 rebounds of her own.  Both looked outclassed by more experienced position players from the other team, with Jewel Loyd scoring 34 pts and  A'ja Eilson putting up 31.

Caitlin reached another milestone in reaching 300 points, 100 assists and 100 rebounds quicker than any player in WNBA history.

When they mention 'ceiling' that's what you see when you roll your eyes.

Welcome to the LeBronBA

I hope Isaih Stewert cleans Bronny's clock. I would pay to see that irony.

Indiana Fever, after getting down  0-8 to Phoenix Mercury, cut it to a 2 pt Phoenix lead two minutes into the 2nd period. Indiana's  Aliyah Boston leads all players with 10 pts and 5 rebounds.  Brittany Griner just committed a flagrant foul during a dead ball for a technical foul...

And Clark makes the free throw.  Fever get a stop and Clark drives by the Phoenix defense for a layup.

A shooting foul call is called during an Indiana layup and, as both teams huddle up in close proximity, a tussle breaks out.

wnBa, lol

Phoenix Mercury much better in the half court game, ends Q2 on a 10-0 run.  Indiana is a good fast break/transition scoring team, but their half court sets are pretty weak.  Their coach recently called for Caitlin to shoot more, but their doesn't seem to be much in place to make that happen.

Midway through the 3rd qtr, Indiana's Mitchell finally scores with a three, then Carter drains one.  Caitlin feeds Boston on a fastbreak, and Mitchell drains another three.  Smith does the same, then Carter feeds Boston again. And the Fever go up by 10!

Phoenix responds to end Q3 with buckets by Taurasi and Griner, and they ramp up their defense and cut the Indiana lead to three pts.

Carter with 12-8-10 so far.  Taurasi with 16-2-1.

Reality is coming, lol.

Four straight possessions, Indiana passes up open jumpshots to ram it inside into double and triple teams.  Clark once again absent from the offense shooting-wise during the 4th qtr.  6pt Phoenix lead...

Fever battles back late in the 4th after a flagrant foul and then a shooting foul sends Indiana to the line.  Free throws get them within 1pt.  Two Phoenix free throws ate followed by an and-1 by Mitchell and the Fever go up 81-80.  Griner ties it with a free throw.  81-81 with a minute to go.

Mitchell hits the midrange jumper off a curl cut.  Fever go up 83-82 and follow with a defensive stop.  21 seconds to go and Indiana has the ball.  This time the coach is smart enough to use the reset timeout to advance to half court.

Ball unbounded to Clark who is fouled.   Huge cheer as she makes both to put Indy up by 3.  The game is in Phoenix

Out of the timeout Phoenix inbounds to Griner who boots it off her foot to Kelsey Mitchell, who is fouled.  Mitchell makes both and the Fever are up by 5 with 12.9 to go.

Clark ends the game one rebound away from a triple double, with 15-9-12.  Taurasi finishes 19-3-3.

Reality has come! :7up:
