How could I leave off Phil???

My absolutely non-technical take, in no particular order:

Neil Peart (really because he's 1/3 of Rush, and has wrote some pretty awesome songs, esp early on; not a huge fan of the technically-precise power drumming, but have to admire the ability even if I can't pretend to begin to appreciate just how accomplished he really is)

Mark Brzezicki (of Big Country; just love his style)

Stuart Copeland (Ditto re the style)

John Bonham (his drumming both blends seamlessly and yet is always noticeable -- in the best way -- at the same time)

Roger Taylor (The Great Roger Taylor; my favorite Queen songs tend to be Roger Taylor songs; what a freaking awesome voice)

Despite not liking Bruce, I love the E Street Band! Weinberg is great.

Sorry buddy! I know you love him! I respect him and his high levels of energy he puts in his shows but no thanks! I can't stand the shouting and the boring E Street Band. E = EXIT as in ADIOS!

Neil Peart

Carl Palmer

Keith Moon

Phil Collins

Stewart Copeland

I don't know how I forgot Keith Moon

( probably because Earl said QUICKLY )

:D

I remembered right off the bat because I'd posted that picture of him in the dress. It would be a shame to leave him off of any list.

Neil

Tony Thompson

Bill ward

Nicko

Gavin Harrison

Off the top of my head. Bill was way ahead of his time. Neil is Neil. Love funk and r&b and tony with chic was amazing. Nicko brought great drumming to modern metal and is the main reason maiden sounds more modern than priest. Gavin is insane. His work on FOaBP is awesome.

I posted then read the thread. Left off John bonham which is a problem. I guess I would put John on and remove Gavin at this point.

Buddy Rich is one of the few drummers that I can actually watch and enjoy playing alone . . but I really only know him from youtube clips .. He is arguably the greatest drummer of all time, however, Bun E Carlos propelling Surrender and giving some of the greatest power pop songs ever that kick in the behind means more to me
