The Main Monkey Business is better than YYZ.

that it is.

Mick

That one would be closer to impossible than unpopular...

YYZ Is number 3 if i had to rank instrumentals.

Mick

My feelings exactly. It goes

1) La VIlla Strangiato

2) Main Monkey Business

3) YYZ

4) Leave that Thing Alone

5) Limbo

Hey, whatever floats your boat... :)

that's the golden attitude all fans should have, Narps :)

Mick

If you don't mind, mick, me asking you - when did you adopt it? The "golden attitude" that is? :) ;)

My unwritten rule is that nothing "new" or "newer" ever beats anything that is "old" or "older" and the line of demarcation is the last note on Grace Under Pressure... :codger: Edited by Narps

That's a tough line to distinguish because Between the Wheels is a fade-out.

I'm very sorry Narps. There is so much wonderful stuff on the world that is newer than that, no matter what your style. And I'm sorry that you are not able to appreciate any of it.

No need to be sorry. I am speaking about Rush music specifically in as so much as if you ask me this song or that song and they were generally close by most peoples definition I would always take the older one. Example of the opposite... The Garden or Different Strings I would take The Garden but that situation would be few and far between because The Garden is much better...

I don't like War Paint. It makes me cringe, especially the chorus.

Since when has liking War Paint been a popular opinion?

So would you say Rush is better than Hemispheres, Permanent Waves, and Moving Pictures then? :P

Whenever I listen to Rush I almost never reach for Moving Pictures. Don't get me wrong, I do love that album, but for whatever reason I always go for Fly By Night - Permanent Waves and then Counterparts - Clockwork Angels.

Regarding Moving Pictures, I feel similarly. Theoretically I believe that it is "their most perfect album". I wore it out for a period in the mid-eighties. But I have as well always loved Neil's debut front to back. Something about the tightness of the drums and the power of the trio. And I'll never get sick o' dis:
