The Fountain of Lamneth beats 2112 easily.

Mick

YES!!! Thank you! It's so incredible!

i've ALWAYS loved Fountain More. I enjoy 2112. but it has a whole middle that sorta drags. I never thought the story was that moving either.

Mick

Of course I love 2112 too. But for me, The Fountain is like a journey. It's just a step above.

Neil dreams of finally getting to meet every last person who dreams of meeting him.

I don't agree with this but I can see why you might say that. I think the debut is much better than a lot of people give it credit for.

I can't see the point to be honest.

The debut is a very nice example of decent songwriting from a very young and passionate band. But the writing is generic and very typical of that era.

Moving Pictures is a monumental album, it features exemplary songwriting from a band at a stage in their artistic development that few bands have ever managed to embrace; it features state of the art production, universally loved singles and is a defining album of not only its era, but of rock n roll as a genre, as a style of rock. Unlike the debut, Moving Pictures has a certain style that has few respectable rivals from any other bands. Personal preference aside, how anyone could dismiss Moving Pictures as a lesser album is beyond my comprehension. I might love Hold Your Fire and Vapor Trails, but I would hesitate to claim they are in any way superior, or more important.

Sorry, but take the name Rush off the cover, and it could be the above average debut of many an unknown band.

Oh I agree, I personally don't like Rush more than Moving Pictures. However, I do see the appeal in Rush.

Segue I may knock uour taste from time to time bonjovcough but you have a gift of words. Precise and erudite are two words that spring to mind.

Bon Jovi are fun. Not greats like Rush or Yes or The Beatles, but fun and they are a nice band to chill too. I do love them but don't mistake my enthusiasm for fanboy infatuation!

And thank you! I worried I had ranted again and might upset someone.

Neurotica and Virtuality are both excellent songs...two of their best from the 90's Era.

Snakes & Arrows is a fantastic album...with 'Side 1' being arguably one of their strongest "sides" since the 80's.

With the exception of Neurotica I agree.

Might revisit both. I used to hate Neurotica, but I did end up liking the solo (thanks Mick for pointing it out!).
