Compile your Ultimate Black Sabbath setlist from the 70's Ozzy years

We'll say it's a bumper setlist of 25 songs. The songs have to come from the first 8 albums as it's for the original line-up for a special farewell gig in 1978. I notice they did 17 songs in 1978 in Cincinnati but one was the guitar solo so it was really 16. So just 70's Ozzy-era songs remember. You don't have to put in songs like Paranoid and Iron Man just because the audience would expect them, just pick your best 25 tracks.

Here's mine:

1 Symptom of the Universe

2 Sabbath Bloody Sabbath

3 A National Acrobat

4 Hole in the Sky

5 Tomorrow's Dream

6 Back Street Kids

7 Johnny Blade

8 All Moving Parts Stand Still

9 Lord of This World

10 The Wizard

11 Wheels of Confusion/The Straightener

12 Hand of Doom

13 Into the Void

14 Under the Sun/Every Day Comes and Goes

15 After Forever

16 The Writ

17 Shock Wave

18 Spiral Architect

19 Killing Yourself to Live

20 Black Sabbath

21 Fairies Wear Boots

22 Electric Funeral

23 Snowblind

24 Children of the Grave

25 War Pigs

I wanted to put 25 but I figured my list had a nice flow. Didn't want to jam in 5 extra and ruin that effect

I didn't do it that way. I went album by album picked my best SABS songs and just put them in one by one deciding which would be played first. So I had three songs in from Black Sabbath, then 4 in from Paranoid and so on.

If I could, I would have added a song or two from 13 even. Loner was a pretty good track. So was Dear Father

No way baby it has to be the first 8 album Ozzy era before the original line-up disbanded. 13 came so long after it's a different band, not just because Ward isn't involved but just because 35 years is a long time.

I notice there's nothing from Technical Ecstasy or Never Say Die, do you not like those albums?

Both of you forgot about Supernaut.

No I didn't it just didn't make the cut. In fact there were at least 10 songs ahead of it that didn't make it either.

Blasphemy. Supernaut is top 10, maybe even top 5.

I may do a list later when I get time.

It's my favorite. I'll have to think about this list but it'll end up looking almost exactly like Bathory's. Maybe NIB in place of Warning.

I don't hate them, I just figured it'd be a better concert without forcing in the best material from those records. the worst thing off the first album is still better than dirty women, to me anyway

I wasn't going to put Dirty Women in, although I like it. I'm very big on the Never Say Die album, I realise though that they could never pull off songs like Air Dance live though and they wouldn't go down too well.
