Sabaton's singer Joakim Brodén is walking all the way to his next show, Trondheim Metal Festival. You heard that right: walking. Apparently he lost a bet. It's more than 500 km.

We are not sure if Broden knows, but here at the YBGE we most certainly know and this feat brings to mind German director and YBG's favourite Werner Herzog's epic walk in the 70s from Munich to Paris, to reach his friend Lotte H. Eisner sick in bed.

It is certainly worth mentioning that Herzog made the walk in freakin' December, so Broden is a p*ssy in comparision anyway.

Here's a video diary of the walk:

There is 0.6 miles to the kilometer. He's walking 552 km so it's 552 x 0.6 = 331.2 miles. If the average person walks at 3 miles per hour then it will take him 110 hours, or about 11 days if he walks 10 hours/day.

The Yukon Blade Grinder European desk continues to amaze the American editors.

Werner Herzog is a man's man. He can withstand bullets and still give interviews. Dude is the very defintion of tough. However, he's a scholar and wise cracker as well. I really enjoy the opportunity to share Werner's genuis. One of his under appreciated feature films, Where the Green Ants Dream, is mocked here in this video. Gotta love Popul Vuh here. The music from Aguirre is hypnotic:

These interviews are must see. Here, you get the real deal. Werner is my hero. I love this man. The interview is done by Jonathan Demme, who directed Silence of the Lambs
