Blue J
RIP REO has never been a favourite band of mine, but Richrath was a great guitarist. He was a great catalyst for everything they've done.

troutman
I never was a huge fan, But I enjoyed there tunes. They played up here back in the late 80's. I was up front during the show. I was really impressed with the concert and his guitar playing. The sound system was fantastic. RIP :rose:

HemiBeers
I saw this over on Facebook earlier. So sorry to hear it. Do we know yet what he died from? Not sure, but recent pictures show him quite bloated to the point of being unrecognizable. Obviously had some kind of health issues and didn't age well.

The Cat 3
Very sad news, indeed. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family, friends and fans. I saw REO in 1979 on the Nine Lives Tour, mainly because my then girlfriend wanted to go. I was pleasantly surprised at how good they were and have been a fan ever since. Rest in peace Gary and thank you for sharing your gift with the world.
