Disk98 Posted August 8, 2015 Posted August 8, 2015 What was the ONE song this tour that just made you go, "YES!!!!!" more than all the other ones? For me, of course, it was Xanadu. Ten-plus minutes of Xanadu. Epicness to the extreme! 3
Bigbobby10 Posted August 8, 2015 Posted August 8, 2015 Prelude, never would expect them to play that. 3
Entre_Perpetuo Posted August 8, 2015 Posted August 8, 2015 I could never decide, but Natural Science was perhaps the most memorable.Of course when they broke into Cygnus X-1 I did have that exact "Yes!" moment. 3
BloodofTheZodiac Posted August 8, 2015 Posted August 8, 2015 As great as they all are and as much as I loved hearing the obscure songs they played, I got really excited for Distant Early Warning. It's weird, because I love the song, and I have never seen it live while actually knowing the song. I saw it on S&A Tour, but I didn't really know 3/4 of the songs, because I wasn't a big fan of the band yet. So even though I hadn't seen it live as a fan of the song, I still wasn't too excited to hear it live. But I saw it on 3 of the 4 shows I saw, and I sang my ass off to the chorus all 3 times and the crowd just really enjoyed it. Even my co worker who came with me to the Montreal show who isn't a fan of anything post Moving Pictures loved it live. It just has a certain energy about it. Seeing it at MSG in New York was phenomenal. I was singing at the top of my lungs, but yet I could hear the entire crowd singing over me, and even over Geddy. I stopped singing for a moment, closed my eyes and just listened to the crowd singing that chorus with the brilliant musical mastery. It was an amazing outer body experience. 4
Freeze Posted August 8, 2015 Posted August 8, 2015 (edited) Since I'm in Europe , I didn't get to see them, but that they brought out Jacob's Ladder at last was awesome. Not to forget Losing It! Edited August 8, 2015 by Freeze 1
The Analog Cub Posted August 8, 2015 Posted August 8, 2015 Opening with The Anarchist was f***ing awesome. Then getting How It Is, The Main Monkey Business, Between The Wheels, Hemispheres, Xanadu, and Anthem was amazing. Too hard to narrow it down to one. 3
blueschica Posted August 8, 2015 Posted August 8, 2015 I didn't get to see a show in person, but Xanadu was it for me. Loved hearing it live sooooo much! 2
Mr. JD Posted August 8, 2015 Posted August 8, 2015 I would have to say Red Barchetta. One of my favorite songs. Between The Wheels is a close second. Losing It in Toronto was also a treat. 1
DistantEarlySignals Posted August 8, 2015 Posted August 8, 2015 I'd say What You're Doing, just because I never in all of my life would possibly imagine that I would see it live, especially since it's one of my favorite RUSH songs, and my favorite on the debut. However, I was most excited to see The Camera Eye. Then after that, it would be Xanadu. However, The Anarchist was a killer opener. As overplayed as it is, I loved The Spirit of Radio, especially coming out of The Camera Eye. 2
Lorraine Posted August 8, 2015 Posted August 8, 2015 I didn't go to a concert, but I never thought they would do Xanada in all its epicness ever again! But they did! That and the Hemispheres Prelude, Jacob's Ladder and Losing It. 2
bluefox4000 Posted August 8, 2015 Posted August 8, 2015 (edited) Xanadu!!!!!!!! Full.......well 95 percent full. but it wasn't stuck in a medley!!!!!!!!! Losing it as well. Mick Edited August 8, 2015 by bluefox4000 3
EagleMoon Posted August 8, 2015 Posted August 8, 2015 Xanadu with the doublenecks. Never thought I'd ever see it again after Geddy complained about the weight of it. 9
goose Posted August 8, 2015 Posted August 8, 2015 Jacob's Ladder. I always thought it would come off flat in concert, but boy was I wrong. The best "vault" moment RUSH has ever provided. 9
bathory Posted August 8, 2015 Posted August 8, 2015 everything from roll the bones to the end of the show 2
Narps Posted August 8, 2015 Posted August 8, 2015 Jacob's Ladder. I always thought it would come off flat in concert, but boy was I wrong. The best "vault" moment RUSH has ever provided.Agreed. As much as I was glued to the stage from RTB on this was something altogether different and special. Mesmerizing would be the word I would use... 2

It was gorgeous. 3
TexMike Posted August 8, 2015 Posted August 8, 2015 Jacob's Ladder for me also. They really did an awesome job on it, including the lighting. Xanadu was the peak of the show in many ways, but they had at least played parts of it on recent tours. JL felt more special.

rocket ignites Posted August 8, 2015 Posted August 8, 2015 Jacob's Ladder since it's never been played live before. ;) 1
DirkPrattLerxst Posted August 8, 2015 Posted August 8, 2015 Jacob's Ladder was awesome. Xanadu was amazing. Roll the Bones was groovy (love the celebrity video.) Between the Wheels was fantastic. Everything else was great too.
