Self-Indulgence Posted August 5, 2015 Posted August 5, 2015 (edited) I had such a great time at the Los Angeles show on the R40 tour. Today I saw something that made me think of RUSH; and this site. Post photos, stories or whatever makes you think of our beloved Canadian trio! http://cdn.growassets.net/user_files/dweezilzappa/user_images/001/996/406/xlarge.JPG?1438738217 Hold Your Fire tour Edited August 5, 2015 by Self-Indulgence 2
JohnnyBlaze Posted August 5, 2015 Posted August 5, 2015 - the talented Geoffrey Rush- the street I live on has a sign that says R30 (Route 30)- when I go home from work, the sign on the opposite platform is lit up and departs at 21:12- when I read comics and see the Sub-Mariner I automatically think of Peart circa Moving Pictures era- any rock trio 2
Lucas Posted August 5, 2015 Posted August 5, 2015 This might be odd - but, you asked: I have a miniature pinscher named The Professor - and he loves asparagus, carrot sticks, the stems from kale, etc ... Anyways, one night I had La Villa playing, and The Professor was laying there enjoying the music, so I decide to get him a big asparagus spear ... I take it out of the fridge, and as he is watching intently and with eager anticipation, I am waving the asparagus in rhythm to La Villa - in particular, the rockin' part just before the bass solo .. The Professor loved it So now every time he gets a treat from the fridge, I break out a RUSH song - either recorded or my own verbal rendition ( to the beat to 2112 Overture - DON-DAT .... DA DA DAAAAAAA ... DAT ... DA DA DAT - and the carrot is delivered ) He loves it :D 1
Xanadu Posted August 5, 2015 Posted August 5, 2015 I see these trucks every here and there: http://nativenewsonline.net/wp-content/uploads/2014/01/rush-truck.gif
jjgittes Posted August 5, 2015 Posted August 5, 2015 1) My spam email asking me if I wanted to sign up for a Rush card. No, it had nothing to do with them.2) Paul Rudd being in the news a ton between the World Series and "Ant man"3) whenever someone mentions the devil. After all, you already know Rush stands for Rebels Under Satan's Hand.
Lucas Posted August 5, 2015 Posted August 5, 2015 Some fans will ignore and deny, and Neil has distanced himself considerably But they will forever be linked .. http://static.guim.co.uk/sys-images/Books/Pix/pictures/2009/3/10/1236676760118/Ayn-Rand-002.jpg

Merely Space Posted August 5, 2015 Posted August 5, 2015 Cool, crisp weather always reminds me of Rush. In the '80's, they were always touring during the school year. So, it seemed like we always got new music and a show in the fall or winter. 1
