Rush / movie synchronization

Someone was talking to me recently about the Dark Side of the Moon and Wizard of Oz connection, where the album seems to act as a perfect soundtrack for the movie, and I got to wondering how many other discoveries have been made. Anyway, I stumbled across this list of Rush-movie synchs. I might check out the Clockwork Angels/Watchmen one, because I think that movie is on Netflix. Here's the link if you're interested.

As a related topic, what Rush albums do you think would work well as movie soundtracks? Which movies?

After looking at this list, most of them seem really stupid. DSotM and WoO fit, the songs ebb and flow with the movie. Simply having seen some of the movies and knowing the track listing, this seems unlikely to hold. Especially the BS of "repeat album until movie finishes" crap.... I guess if you try hard enough, you can force that square peg into that round hole.

The whole fun of Dark Side of the Rainbow is the bizarre coincidence of it. Trying to make other synch-ups happen is like forcing lightning into a bottle twice, or whatever the hell that saying is.

There was a great bit on SNL once, where in some skit a character made a joke about synching up "White Room" by Cream with "Santa Claus Is Coming to Town," and they played about a 3-second clip of it... cracks me up every time I think of it.

Test For Echo would work well with "Suck".

I don't agree with tour opinion about T4E, but joke-wise, VERY we'll played, good sir. I tried to come up with something similar, but I don't hate any Rush album enough that would justify the same kind of joke.

Or "The Human Centipede 3" (the first two films are probably too good).

Vapor Trails is definitely The Phantom Menace and Presto is AVP Resurrection

Snakes is Police Academy 7

Maybe the instrumentals could be synched up with some Looney toons cartoons. I can see Daffy running amok to yyz maybe.
