Your Favourite Albums Overlooked By Media/Fans

Recommended Posts

So here I am in my hotel room playing Foreigner's Can't Slow Down, and a thought occurred to me: This is the best studio album the band ever released, and yet no fan of this band ever seems to talk about it! Shame on everyone!

So, this is a thread, not necessarily about your favourite albums, but about those special albums in your collection that either arrived during a dip in the bands popularity and saw frail album sales, or maybe even absolute stone cold masterpieces that never EVER saw just recognition.

Here are three more:

Khoma- The Second Wave

Strangeways- Native Sons

Fleetwood Mac- Time

Alter Bridge- One Day Remains

Really? It was very well received from what I remember. It was certified gold in the US and easily their most successful album over here. When I saw them live in 2011, the songs they did off it got the best responses.

Every King's X album post Faith Hope Love, or maybe Dogman.

I was saving them for my next post! Faith. Hope. Love. is beyond perfection. This band should have been one of the defining bands of their era.

You know, I read this opinion every now and then and I just don't hear it. They are a good band that deserves more recognition, but they come off a bit off the shelf to my ears. Decent, but ordinary. Whatever, I think Big Star should have been huge.

Black Sabbath "Born Again"

Although Trashed is excellent most fans were very familiar with Ian Gillan when he joined and realized how out of place a lot of the lyrics and subject matter were. It didn't come across as authentic.
