Babycat
There's only one way to have a cat and that is to keep it indoors. there is nothing worse than waking up in the morning and seeing your cat dead in the middle of the road. I know. It has happened to us a couple of times. The worst time was when the cat literally dragged herself (her rear legs were shot) off the road and onto our driveway. As she laid there dying, and me so utterly helpless to do anything for her and wishing she'd die fast, the man who hit her stood there watching and, when I told him I had just spent $100 to have her spayed (which I had just done) he spat out "Instead of having her fixed, why didn't you spend the money to fix this place up?" People are cruel. i told him to get off in his car and get out of my sight. Sorry, Crimson, for your loss. Lorraine, I'm so sorry about your darling kitty, what a horrible way to die.. :( Thank you, but this happened about 18 years ago. I've never gotten over the man's absolute and utter cruelty to me though. It was traumatic at the time. Many years ago, I found myself witnessing the death of another of my cats - I was in the yard, playing, and she was in the road playing with a butterfly, and this car just came out of nowhere and... well... you know. The driver just carried on. Her death was instant. She was only 2. I was just a child. I'll never forget that for as long as I live.
