Tastes like METAL

I simply adore this beer, man!

The recipe is great!

Agreed! Bruce worked with Robinson's on the recipe, that guy is quite the Renaissance Man.

METAL!!

METAL!

Let's drink to that! :haz:

I like rice beers, so Bud Dry was my fave...I don't know if is even MADE anymore...maybe in quatity (like a 30 pack or sumpin.) My BFF Dave (†) used to get it in 30 packs at his local conv, store back in '07. Sapporo, Japaese beer is rice also, and that tastes like Bud Dry, so I can approximate the taste if I want.

About Dark beers, once again, BFF Dave steered me to one that in his estimation, was crisp, and not with the HEAVY AFTER TASTE you usually get with a dark beer. It is called "Taddy Porter" He compared it to a Michigan brew, "Frankenmuth". But he was right about the beer..it didn't taste like molasses, and I HATE aftertaste, so not having it there was cool!

Samuel Smith's Taddy Porter is one of the world's great brews. Really anything Samuel Smith is quality. Their oatmeal stout is top notch.

I will need to slack off to let my liver recover in time for my annual pilgrimage to the Jupiter Craft Beer Festival at the end of the month. Last year was 60+ brewers and 250+ beers. I've been to the last 8, and it gets better every year.

Devil's Backbone Vienna Lager is my new favorite.

After years of loving Hoppy beers, either my palate is changing, or I've got Hop Fatigue. Either way, I'm really enjoying lager style beers now. Vienna Lager and Sam Adams Boston Lager are my go to brews.

Same thing happened to me when I hit 30. I can't do the hoppy beers anymore. I pretty much drink Lagers, Porters, or Stouts these days.

Yeah, different taste buds going on because I strongly disagree with the Sapporo and Bud Dry comparison. I'll drink Bud Dry if it's there and someone offers it but I'm seeking out Sapporo at my supermarket for purchase.
