Maybe it's because Alex has his mind elsewhere and doesn't care to perform anymore? (Sorry, reference to another thread).

 

I have seen this kind of thing at a few shows I have attended. All that machinery making modern music is going to have some glitches somewhere.

 

Probably the worst I saw was during "Subdivisions" ("SUBDIVISIONS"!) in San Antonio during the T4E tour in 1996. If I remember correctly, his stack of Marshalls went haywire and they didn't get it back up for about a minute.
